Then you would be a good candidate for the role of a Project Specialist within Alberta Innovates – Energy and Environment Solutions (EES).

Focusing on three strategic areas; energy technologies, environmental technologies, and renewable and emerging resources EES will take a step towards a cleaner future.
* n: ]# J% T7 hAbout this Opportunity: , D, G* i7 F; W$ }) W
Working under the guidance of the Director, Technology Development the successful individual will be responsible to assess applications to the Climate Change and Emissions Management Corporation (CCEMC). Using their knowledge and understanding of CCEMC systems they will be able to assess fit within the mandate and determine financial support. This individual will also collaborate with senior EES staff and stakeholders to evaluate current systems and practices based on their experience in assessment.
. o+ F+ s" }6 _1 q8 N8 LIn supporting the Director, Technology Development the successful candidate will be able to participate in policy development strategies and business planning objectives. This individual will also be responsible for supporting the Director in other portfolio activities as well as being involved in various steering committees and project management teams. On occasion this individual will also be asked to represent EES at different forums or events related to the CCEMC.
% z+ K2 N: e$ _: C- d1 GThis newly created position provides a development opportunity for a ‘big picture’ thinker to be involved in building a cleaner, more energy efficient Alberta.
7 y. v! P1 I3 [7 @: YQualifications and skills required:
& P( ?9 Z/ v* e2 EThe successful candidate must have a strong background in climate-change related technologies, issues, and principles, as well as background in industrial process operations and equipment. A minimum of two years experience in conducting research projects or engineering studies is required. Good interpersonal/communication skills are also required to embrace different stakeholders and clients with a varying degree of technical understanding. The successful candidate must have a university degree in a related field as well as 2 years progressively responsible experience. Previous work with Climate Change legislation and policy is considered an asset. Equivalencies will be considered.
