Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
. b0 Y" ~+ ]/ c. t/ o, ^  }/ {Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
9 ^$ d' N# C" ~+ C" mMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

* E( ^! y( r* M$ S# d+ R1 G* z. N5 n" V
Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
! V! ~0 a7 f% K5 PCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
6 h1 I& L, p) q3 PAbility to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
