- q: o# w1 M/ V- kMajor Responsibilities:
: O9 ?$ f% k% R* r* i% w% p) n7 L•        Process research equipment design;
4 @( n8 D! N3 `9 K  g3 T  Q•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
9 a  T' A2 i& ^& Y- P•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
* l5 R( m" [7 f3 [1 ~. B" o, T•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
7 p$ s) T) V, n$ v, s2 O•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
