1 ~0 _+ ], {9 e2 NKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
8 q! r3 D. u: N+ v Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
: |, ?* p0 E4 ~. d0 s+ Y Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
7 R) a8 K6 e1 W! E! [ Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
  u) D- B7 O$ r8 ^/ }6 a Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
/ o2 s& ~3 g! ~2 j- C Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
; E4 O1 t, A; k. @8 Q+ g Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
: E5 b, k) A) }$ \  m) \ Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
/ a! @" e% @+ z" n Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

8 F& d" |/ W/ K6 M3 P Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
; B5 U8 d) C! i" |7 n/ h7 { Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
! X, m5 H6 W" ?4 z Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
  j3 O( j$ Z% T* g. [ Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
+ J$ p  Q2 B8 {9 f  H8 @starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
