Key Responsibilities & Duties:
5 U0 g3 ]0 y7 p! D2 U. @
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
2 J' L1 g1 Y. U" ~7 I Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
' ~$ N5 J! F6 J; R2 x5 m Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
, {: g+ F% l+ y7 L/ }" Z Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:
& H2 Y/ U6 s1 G
/ ?% v. m# F6 M) |9 ` Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
2 @; c. R  w# k* Q" ]7 O Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
5 g+ H% V+ ~/ R9 `; f Knowledge of community resources.
, A, k9 L8 y' ]7 D Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

. Z/ [0 U) ^6 \This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
