Key Responsibilities & Duties:

1 @! f; x* {5 {0 ^ Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
. J& t" h* b" G/ F- E5 |$ p Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
7 ?- Z5 c" C/ j6 r Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

- Q  i% A; h8 TQualifications:

3 l, R2 d+ I% v  R Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
7 n7 |7 D% q* Y$ z! p, O# ^7 ] Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
& q2 a; W- S) x2 C. s% ?  U! l Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
5 v6 r; k4 ^6 Q; W$ u! h( P1 K Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
" ^+ t+ W( z: T' zThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
% X+ C/ [; S: J8 a3 d# R" rstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
