 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
$ s( h6 F* D' Q( ?4 V3 f+ d Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
) Z! ?# s; P5 D% N: j3 T1 {- } Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
, R  l( a1 A' h4 e4 m# h, ` Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
) u) _* {$ j7 y: u8 L; l  q) ~* }0 R Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

3 _0 N; q, r% t5 {: t/ K Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
: i% I2 K2 V" j/ N$ P6 E Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
4 z- w. u& j  V4 J9 l# f9 I. n Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
- t6 |0 N; h4 \, X Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
4 g! t+ P( V! b, X Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
' G2 w) c5 D! @7 R% ~starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
