' O6 v5 q$ r. k  J7 jKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
" V: q5 c6 b7 Y  O% D Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
; Z% e; m5 i9 d" C( f# C Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
7 [2 S2 }1 j! p5 c7 a Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
: I6 X4 m4 M. r% T# u- z Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
, P) p3 z/ }* w/ }, V5 M Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
& F9 G, C9 t+ _; B! H0 U9 i1 G Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
/ m: J3 @& c" [ Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
4 S- |% }0 O4 k2 r, y0 r* w% Xstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
