9 x% I: d1 O2 F$ m3 v Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
2 n4 ?2 J3 S8 R/ X& ], X Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
7 w$ P; p! s, @" W6 K! x Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.* T0 n) Y' N: }9 F7 ]5 R$ C4 y+ g
 Completing required paperwork.
& V8 T* y4 |5 [! N9 h! @ Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.$ V4 M: s+ }; ^* y4 {
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.8 y+ `: P% w c6 U# o- s8 C
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. - ]- ~" V& V- m( a# S8 H- G* ]" h
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
# L* h" }; e9 ?5 B
' y. }, o& X7 M( h4 u Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.4 F* ^, s9 z, i* [& B
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.- ]6 j5 \) k, Q2 U% q; C8 z9 ]& G" d
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
# U$ R% H, _+ c* q1 \ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
7 O* N$ @$ T8 s' K% ~ Knowledge of community resources.
5 U1 }+ U; n: t Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.; q: n* O% J t4 l' p
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. " M, N4 J" Z4 i. C6 E: j

Position:
; [1 N# x7 a0 C' G5 T X: S1 \This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
3 H5 `2 \! A. c" @starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
