. ?6 I) R; d) X7 q: Q3 WThe Desktop Support Team Leader is a supervisory/advisory position that is responsible for the support of the City of Edmonton desktop environment, including geographical support City wide:

· Supervising a team of technical staff, which will include staff recruitment, setting performance expectations, evaluations, mentoring and coaching.8 A7 }4 T5 `+ O' x( P' c

· Planning, coordinating and allocating staff to ensure effective & efficient support of City desktops. \$ Z k+ Q+ f7 E- u3 o" Q7 J7 m( t

· Working with other operational areas in maintaining an ever evolving desktop support model.% ]* C6 b1 c6 V. K+ y
( d" f- d; `0 _; m· Ensuring the Desktop Support Area is meeting /exceeding performance expectations defined in Service Level Agreements, by providing essential metrics for performance monitoring.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Degree or Diploma in Computing Science from a C.I.P.S. accredited institution.

· Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible work in systems development that would include supporting a desktop environment." j# E3 I6 V" N/ c

· Experience in supervision, leading,and managing a team of technical experts is essential. K2 A( L; f2 S! f( R
5 S; k4 v' i6 Q" v( }( n· Demonstrated expertise in streamlining of processes to improve operational efficiency.; z* e& h7 g* z7 J
) X- f8 r& g, D· Strong technical, communication skills (both verbal and written) are required.

HOURS OF WORK:

SALARY RANGE:7 G' Z4 n( e9 M. O1 u: M% }3 T
5 D# q! |% e+ a$ [+ H$ E1 C21M, Salary Grade: 038, $37.02 - $46.76 (Hourly), $2,498.99 - $3,156.37 (Bi-Weekly), $65,223.51 - $82,381.19 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton." x8 d2 T9 g0 f* J- i
