The Desktop Support Team Leader is a supervisory/advisory position that is responsible for the support of the City of Edmonton desktop environment, including geographical support City wide:

) O4 M  m+ z  l! T' _$ W- e· Supervising a team of technical staff, which will include staff recruitment, setting performance expectations, evaluations, mentoring and coaching.

· Working with other operational areas in maintaining an ever evolving desktop support model.

+ R3 @- @7 \) P, h. r· Ensuring the Desktop Support Area is meeting /exceeding performance expectations defined in Service Level Agreements, by providing essential metrics for performance monitoring.! k4 M2 U; r) Y+ F2 @7 t$ c

· Performing quality assurance for work performed, in response to customer requests.+ O. [9 E9 N- Q9 ^

· Degree or Diploma in Computing Science from a C.I.P.S. accredited institution.$ L  d, A& Z0 ]6 F& C

· Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible work in systems development that would include supporting a desktop environment.% j% b) n  W8 y- M# N8 i8 l: F

· Experience in supervision, leading,and managing a team of technical experts is essential.

· Strong technical, communication skills (both verbal and written) are required.

7 K4 E: J& B' a4 y$ rSALARY RANGE:
3 R8 S0 U2 j3 r$ T5 L$ q2 H! k: H$ q1 p9 `. a# c' Z
21M, Salary Grade: 038, $37.02 - $46.76 (Hourly), $2,498.99 - $3,156.37 (Bi-Weekly), $65,223.51 - $82,381.19 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
