SALES CLERKS
Job Purpose
Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
, O: @' j3 R5 H+ U! M9 t( z( Moperation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
customers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
the Store Manager.
; Q, D( u7 ]0 O3 Q( XDuties and Responsibilities
' C. ]( X+ J1 y. vCustomer Service
• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
# [* ?( ~+ k- ~1 h• Assist customers find what they are looking for
; N1 q( y1 w& c% r  K. b• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
3 l0 U% K( \) ?2 ^, Vstock
/ b# P( |* |" F$ M. G5 R• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
4 j6 k* o# v0 R* `looks under 25 years of age
Store Responsibilities
0 |/ |/ ?% {5 T8 @2 q! j• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
# T; ^; Z% ?/ u3 D7 ]3 S2 S; M• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
• Protect company assets at all times
+ D: y  ^: @. v9 K  s: C8 B• Close the store (key holders)
• Other tasks as assigned by Store or Assistant Manager
Qualifications
# @# P9 u! I1 ]$ ^- [$ r• High School graduate
• Criminal record check.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
9 A4 |3 j7 q4 R6 {# s, [• Good problem solving skills
/ a) z" }2 `- T! y& u• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
. d6 B6 m/ ]3 x0 }changes in strategies
Working Conditions
• Fast paced environment
• Demanding workload
Physical Requirements
- z" `5 `3 @7 ]  o* ^• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
8 I/ b8 ?. L" X• Standing for extended periods of time
