Gas Development is comprised of natural gas business development, Enbridge investments in existing gas infrastructure and investments in long-term gas development initiatives.  The Group currently manages investments totaling $1 billion, with earnings of approximately $100 million.   This new Senior Business Advisor position will report directly to the Director Finance & Control, Gas Development.  The position will work closely with Business Development Management to ensure financial planning models for existing businesses reflect the most current commercial & economic outlooks.  This position will also develop initial financial models, and analyze risks and opportunities, related to potential new businesses identified by Gas Development.  
Responsibilities  
7 b1 _! H% L9 _ Maintain and analyze financial models of existing Gas Development investments to ensure financial performance meets corporate expectations; where appropriate, identify opportunities to optimize commercial values;

  b0 w. w; P/ z! \Work closely with Gas Development Management to ensure financial models reflect current commercial contracts and economic / financial outlooks;

Ongoing risk assessment and determine impacts for financial planning;

Liaise with senior financial representatives from partners/JVs to ensure an understanding of key financial/commercial issues and the impact to financial results and forecasts;

6 f7 R. d  }$ j' GWorking closely with Gas Development Management, will develop initial financial models and evaluations of natural gas infrastructure opportunities valued in the range of $100 million to $1 billion+;

7 N. y0 _# O. @4 n! Z$ n6 C: w6 s. EWork closely with Senior Advisors/Managers of Corporate Development & Investment Review to ensure consistency of financial evaluation techniques for new opportunities and ensure clear and timely communication of project risks and opportunities;
2 _# C+ H/ u  F, c8 O& ~9 D1 u: @Manage the input of various Corporate Departments in assessing new and existing capital investments;

; B  T3 `/ B1 ?* E5 q9 h- mProvide financial support for investment proposals to Senior Gas Division & Enbridge Management;

Specific responsibilities include: preparation and review of financial models; managing the financial assessment of commercial structures and operating environments, provide advice on key financial assumptions; and assess opportunities & risks of current / proposed investments; determination of asset values/bid prices; use of appropriate valuation methodologies; and due diligence reviews.

Assist Director in developing and analyzing financial results and forecasts (annual budgets, forecasts, and long range plan).

Business/Finance Degree coupled with an MBA, CFA or accounting designation.
# p* o& ~6 g4 f  w) A: J( s
10-15 years financial experience at progressively senior analyst/advisor levels within the energy industry;

* o* c5 A4 R/ cGas industry experience preferred;
+ \! t' N1 b/ S( D" L
  y" D$ {# p' b1 s, AExtensive experience in financial analysis, accounting, financial planning or strategic planning;
! ]6 Q: f: p' E$ f$ ?5 {
Experience in business evaluations and due diligence with respect to large scale energy projects;

Strong business acumen, collaboration and interpersonal skills;
! p' N0 x- k# o; E7 E7 @4 T0 k9 v
A high degree of personal initiative;
