MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

* h4 x9 C' R, g% lKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
( L+ Y8 b6 |3 f: r, P6 c8 ]3 p% F        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
/ l* s/ o: ~# R        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
. |7 C5 s7 W" Y0 a4 f        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
  a5 A; e  ]7 ]$ I        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
3 s8 @$ m1 d7 ]; X: ]•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
: _# d0 N& q" G8 a/ w- v% h1 l+ h•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
& f2 Q2 o- n& C* A•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
8 f  P6 `, a3 a2 M) F•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
$ f8 @" P5 G3 J3 e7 m% T•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
