Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
& K' E# f/ [* {' C. x        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
, S& r! K! o4 ~8 G0 `& D        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
) X. @7 t: F7 d- i* N1 j  z3 k        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
) }# B# i# v0 f4 z8 A% F) T" p& r6 w        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
$ n# e& H# f: n3 r% {3 I: U, q1 {) O•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
9 n* p: [8 V/ |- ~6 T" [  h•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
. s0 k5 ~, r- R3 a' N•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
2 }3 T7 K: L% o) d* H" ]•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
3 o2 `1 u0 B6 J5 S6 w•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
5 {4 y/ Q; ?* W. x( t& K" d•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
- \: m7 o0 [6 b- \1 Q•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
