Around 2:25 p.m., Edmonton Fire Rescue received two 911 calls to 50th Street and 67th Avenue. One was reporting a fire, the other reporting that someone had been injured at the same location.0 `% Y1 Y7 } w% k

Fire rescue's Tim Wilson tells iNews880 there was a flash fire in a lab where the chemical Toluene is housed.

"The fire took place in a room at this facility that did have some sort of flammable products stored in there," says Wilson, "and somehow, this ignited and caused a fire."5 D" X4 @) a7 d2 T- I g6 ?* |

) v/ x5 U* P) w1 R7 AWilson says fire rescue responded with trucks from three houses because of the flammable chemicals housed in the building.
