Via spokeswoman Catherine Kaloutsky says the collision happened at a level crossing protected by gates, lights and bells. No one on the train was physically hurt.* g0 `& Y& }5 G

"We have 227 passengers on board the train, none of whom sustained any injuries," Kaloutsky said Tuesday. "Our two engineers, understandably, have requested relief."$ R3 r3 W2 Q9 t% g/ c

Police say the girls were both under 10.

Kaloutsky said the coroner released the train before 3 p.m. and it was expected to reach Vancouver sometime Wednesday afternoon. |
