What Makes Christmas Magical

are distant memories. Hearty indulgence in the many foods shared at Christmas

pleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then . G8 J$ T0 c  S7 ]
eat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can 3 b) D: q# ]6 S; c6 J$ x
smartly avoid it?9 n. c; k- ^7 U
?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out ) k) |& x: o- U, y
at a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem
, k+ N" M" _$ E6 f% u4 s3 K. V# a9 H2 Dto be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of " ^; c/ w1 b5 i- Y
moderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a & [, T3 e9 ]- i5 O% w

are offered. It will seem as if you aren't in the spirit of the holidays / L5 g7 r" {$ r6 F1 B9 w
especially since at that time of year everyone is usually in a festive and more % j& e5 t, @2 z) ~& H; B# c' I
relaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower.
5 T3 C: J/ n; U; e. R?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to
% I* J1 S6 x9 L: j! G1 Bsubstitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with : m' X& _5 R- h9 I7 W
breakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie,
% C+ ?3 b3 Z: mfrom the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to " P' v- Y1 D! D) u8 d. w! X) {
tell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into

healthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down
