Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
1 F9 {- u( F) \ a! J z7 rthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
?% _6 }% w, ^' ?4 f v. Ethe Board of Directors;
* G- \; r# o- @ G- f• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
3 t K. P+ `4 U( s4 I& zincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to

• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
1 n B+ `) D+ E" X7 A1 f3 jobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

* s' `0 i2 F4 O0 N, b O& M• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
" C+ Y3 ^9 N+ n @ O6 Z& e• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion 4 L. U5 \5 [' F* C) T/ E3 p! B
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
* p# z; @1 u# y' x9 B( O0 o• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective ) l9 r* T) E7 S) n; U) q
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
) H% V+ ]/ U* i6 Y; L1 w2 V• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; ' T, U% p8 `, S9 R
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to # i8 n& s6 T# [
effectively and positively represent the association;

, O/ V4 t' G- a) [• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring * c9 G4 X4 o* L1 S9 A! N0 {& L
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
S2 m. K" I2 ?# ^/ t {• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal * y7 Y$ J/ O7 [5 T& T
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

9 M; V" J" ^) B4 J* {" i3 j• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical

Required Experience
! _/ p$ N9 W3 X. W/ t2 b: R1 o5 I% e/ \• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; . k5 ~. w8 I/ m1 Y$ Q
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
& w7 x2 E) Q* L% }1 ?7 T& n7 Mabilities; 0 }8 I3 c) U2 t0 W& s8 l4 x9 T
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, ( O# C: {( E2 a& Q/ i% s& Z9 f5 E, I. b

• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting 6 E6 K: k2 A$ J+ q, P
