Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and

" |9 W% K% {+ W" G, |& w" s" xthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by ; c3 p2 P' r# Q# x6 ^

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations

enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; / n) V' w. ?' i; A
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and & v# J6 a( I/ z4 Z$ ^: t& l5 M
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; + K5 s* Q9 r' h% S4 T8 m
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
; { {. G+ B I1 z- Tthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; ' y3 J' X5 o) U* p6 t
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 9 m' x h% l& ?* v
changing needs of the organization and community;
& L4 }( W1 d0 C: G) l• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue ) H7 r& h& `3 P5 ?% s+ O+ S
commitments;
% A9 E; H0 ?& z. M" E• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
! o; N+ ]# u: Y9 G• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
9 Z$ }+ }! G$ {2 Sselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;

• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
/ ?' z6 B5 a* q4 Gperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
( z l! a. {& z; j3 F9 T% g" bthe forthcoming year; & Q/ a; _' N; y9 K2 G. f
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical ; x/ _# p( X: a+ N: E* H* D
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of ' B3 r7 \2 a2 U7 Z) n' r" \, C

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;

; |$ E4 R. c) r$ r+ I0 Zabilities; 8 T! O1 j3 C D; ]9 T
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, - L2 Z+ ]! m8 Y' ^
Networking and Fundraising;
) n& \/ V8 L0 e6 @1 G. e. ?• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
