4 p2 Q( V4 O5 h( ^The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers) J( H# G/ r# i) I' |5 l( U0 f
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution ' l( F, Z# b& F' n( a/ D2 B/ m( ?
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
1 I. J$ G2 O& X0 O§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times# Z6 t8 c4 ?' L/ c
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk( {8 E, t7 Z2 c
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert) V! H& E7 d7 [( H6 h( M2 _2 W, H/ ]
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience

§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues& `& o) z) s/ r: V6 e; A5 C- }! B; {3 O
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware7 _' g N p$ u! ]( R: j, n9 T) C
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
4 g4 g0 ~+ K" h8 b§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

§ Manage a stable local IT environment

§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation$ [% u, A* i7 _& b8 f
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to) [3 u: l+ T4 B' g# t4 V- B
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times

§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures

§ Coordinate and support end user training
