The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.) w$ N/ y0 ]5 E. \/ S/ m$ s

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
* L' r6 O- c3 G& a§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
9 [& s" O5 S# C0 I§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation+ a( y0 d( a) z% r
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
% W/ _+ _( Z+ m§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
- K( ?  N! y8 `/ V3 I0 \3 i§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert  X, x; L% B+ I9 z, C' L) T
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties
! V( L9 K; f/ y* }; K§ Special projects as required
& _3 }1 f  L6 L4 B: B$ w3 [§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

7 E1 c, f/ z( Q$ iQualifications:
, P' O5 w2 [6 s" p) z7 I/ r§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience2 P3 {7 V, K( S
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision" b2 ~  N) q; t/ T" Z9 B
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
+ a& d$ T( ?' v4 w§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
3 L  P6 m( O1 ]3 G§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware& s' b# \) ?  l8 R  M
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
( |! Z; h# e* o§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

§ Manage a stable local IT environment ' ~. \/ K2 ~6 M1 s( e3 F
§ Manage and coach staff in IT group* H! g5 ?# j' ~3 @4 C! J
§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support) }" |7 c- a2 a& i* x( Y( S
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives% o1 g. y& i. J4 C/ }/ Z& Z4 t6 {
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports% h- p/ [7 y2 N# x* [2 M% x
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation' c. g1 W& q; u8 i4 S: l
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to2 f2 h/ {2 p4 O# w2 [
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
- E) t' t- H1 @, L( R. D7 C0 M  _§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access4 a& D; e9 w2 {+ m' J# L
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures1 b  m" y' I9 N
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
4 g2 s: _& z0 l0 J3 z- `; j§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk. c. ]+ y; D* G2 r, x- \7 z- G
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
' B. d% e. ?" \§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management
+ _) y7 h) {, }* c- d0 D4 H- }§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance; r7 ^7 r: p: Y7 g7 x% K7 Y
§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
4 V* [* r! B8 o2 c' k5 B§ Coordinate and support end user training# u7 E( _* _( E- b. q- _
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers2 p+ S: N6 E4 I% c" i: f, Q) s! N
§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance
: j' p0 T4 s" i§ Manage all printers in the building

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
