Position Summary:
- L" G4 b9 C ?6 F) ~( bThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.+ a) F' N: S3 [! s& X6 \& U

# N+ G5 I6 U+ I8 F§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers+ a, b6 j5 I/ p9 [2 N
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution & g& g# x. W }; x# E1 h
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
- ]: K" q2 S) R% w1 a. J§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times" G" x' O1 p% N3 k1 A
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk! f, w$ K* [2 R
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
* s& m4 }6 g0 y% q§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties$ c, D% y: @' U4 V
§ Special projects as required& d+ h% o7 B& P) l8 ?
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

# d) P L! P7 J0 t. j" C" [§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience

§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems5 r9 n2 r$ K% d+ {- p

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

Responsibilities:

§ Manage and coach staff in IT group

§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
. e4 }% O9 L9 F§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
' J% M' j) a7 b1 f* Z§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
1 Z, Q4 M* L+ L§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
3 T: |8 {; e4 z/ R5 E" t# X§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
' f$ R1 u7 }5 r/ a$ P§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access8 j, U/ |- O0 s/ F- H5 s
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures% m" Q& b) U4 s) s m/ _8 p: [
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan

§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers, x8 p+ i+ V' o/ t- K8 G
§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance
