Position: Program Coordinator, Immigrant Women Asset Building program / Terms: contract position from April 2010 to November 2011 / Closing Date: 04.15.10.

@0 }% d+ V- t2 o6 GResponsibilities: To coordinate the Immigrant Women Asset Building Program; To work as part of a holistic team and with the cultural community to recruit participants, provide service delivery and evaluate the program. Staff and the cultural community will provide on-going support and direction to participants under the leadership of the Program Coordinator; To deliver and evaluate the program; To supervise staff and volunteers; To case manage the participants in the program by developing Capacity Mapping for immigrant women and ensuring a Portfolio Development experience.4 |% s: Y [: Q0 h! o _
% b, [+ j7 d$ i; t/ r0 t! n) G4 PPLUS: To support immigrant women in the development of social networks and community supports, including outreach (home visits), if needed; To advocate on the participants’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers; To ensure financial coordination and compliance of the program; To ensure documentation coordination of the program; report writing and the gathering of statistical information. ! s2 V7 v/ q; v; t1 ~9 O
( y- |0 m b/ m7 A& DSkills & Experience: Demonstrates strong initiative & commitment to providing quality services working in an intercultural environment with immigrant women; Experience in holistic case management; ) G2 l t5 C3 [, o y5 `/ @
Experience working in multi-disciplinary/collaborative environment; Knowledge of Asset Based Approach, Portfolio and Leadership Development; Ability to manage time effectively, flexibility/open-minded; Ability to perform a variety of diverse tasks; Proficiency in both official languages is an asset, as is fluency in languages other than English/French; Ability to create a team/work collaboratively with other colleagues & other service providers; Ability to research; library, internet; Evening/weekend work required. 7 u9 q( V- {& h
4 b3 N" r' O, _( A9 xEducation / Technical Skills: Post-secondary education, diploma or degree, preferably in community development, other fields (education, social work, or related fields) will be considered; Proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point; A clean driving abstract and car is needed for this position. / w( c( W! ^2 c" `
