Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:
) {8 Q% t: b$ l/ A$ v7 l/ u After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again. : F8 L) Y9 \5 b7 m# N$ f1 e
It is a cycle.9 K# P @8 f( y" R

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
2 ~ y/ @/ [3 @2 @Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.! e% ?$ x. ?* r6 ~) M8 p4 f7 B# a! K' g
The problem should be inside the bucket.

. |5 ?3 R! ~& q" FWhen the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.0 E* ~$ t; `% L2 g9 u6 \* o. d: J
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
2 J$ g8 E+ Y g+ }$ uConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

1 x/ s: F( Q4 d1 z) j5 KThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
# Q0 p, A! T" i1 {They have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.+ z: L `& j t1 W
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. 2 \9 Z' m( [: A- n" E' u

The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them. 0 K( g0 b7 e3 a7 D
