现在staple的广告上发现一则关于诺顿软件的on-sale广告，实在是弄不明白！
买当时原价$60, mail-in rebate $30; *Upgrade Mail-in -$30 Rebate 这么说难道就是免费的了？
不明白的是upgrade mail-in rebate 是什么意思（以下为产品注释：）
For previous owners of a stand alone, retail (boxed or downloaded) version... Proof of previous ownership is required
of any Norton,
我的诺顿是去年新买的电脑里本身自带的，没有光盘。
我能否享受以上的优惠，怎样才能证明？
晕了，不知道怎么一回事？

人家都说得很清楚了。你的属于OEM的，所以不能享受upgrade MIR.

FYI: OEM: Short for original equipment manufacturer, which is a misleading term for a company that has a special relationship with computer producers. OEMs buy computers in bulk and customize them for a particular application. They then sell the customized computer under their own name. The term is really a misnomer because OEMs are not the original manufacturers -- they are the customizers.
