CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.: O7 W& M5 s X) n1 a

The energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.* i. u3 T7 H' ~6 v8 k9 Y5 i
9 b" G7 g1 q5 l- y5 V; PSuncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.
