Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.
Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

5 ]+ D( r0 S2 w" y9 Q1 lResponsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
7 I$ R3 Q; W& [-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
* _2 ^; o4 j+ u& J& y-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health


; G& v$ \3 v7 {Key Qualifications:
$ a; {4 v; V9 c-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
/ I9 J' Y8 _* O  v! ^$ z-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
5 ^" B+ L( ~( z3 w8 T1 r, R-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
; K3 m9 g( |& g2 z3 m( T' Y-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

% K5 S" b5 D, n) z; V-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
7 G2 `% ^) ]  q4 f4 [; k: ]! `-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
9 W) ~" W  F" J3 H8 J: ?" A' c  l6 \9 h-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
