Responsibilities:% Q: I$ S* d6 v2 s
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth" L- ~; t( `# |
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
. \ z( o" {: J o! ]4 H( @; {( I- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups) Y* V2 n* F0 `1 Q: m
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
" n9 t; e5 d! W! o7 D. y3 ^- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
8 _1 L7 U$ J* t8 y1 s) |8 O% L g, K- D- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences: |5 I9 @! n. s+ P5 y- w s! n! x
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement2 }5 L/ _5 u4 C5 M0 H
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others- _0 w; r$ ]; G4 n8 f
- Experience doing program development
- |4 E5 n. ^) y7 D# w. ^, i- Strong organizational and coordination skills
7 z* _. k; R) V- p3 B- Self-directed and able to take initiative
. P5 T! f; o; B9 c# \/ q9 B- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
3 ^9 N* }/ h/ B% l4 S- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license. N0 V% S. A7 q* p# S) Y
