Position Title: Outreach Worker

- promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
& }+ ?5 p4 K, L2 L% `4 Q- promote Centre and ISP programs in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.4 @% K, \8 n% z2 H) f! N% b8 [
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre9 M1 D, T( s, U
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
# e# w( }$ J7 ?- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities- A w9 T) @0 f% h. I) ?# O
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
1 g9 f/ p/ W. @7 x6 i- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants) R( H" U C, _2 h* z
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals& m. }/ Y3 E( f$ c' @0 Q
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.

- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned- P0 u" ~% Z0 |

Qualifications) N" x/ ?5 h* a6 P3 c1 {3 q+ k/ x; e
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
6 U& P4 V0 f+ J& g- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available4 V$ n9 @: f6 g7 v6 p S6 L$ L
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
' u, |$ ^# O9 f. r- fluent in English and Chinese
( I, d4 N% g7 A7 h& Y* g$ U' X" T- good interpersonal and people skills& F, J$ `$ ]6 ?6 R2 H+ h
- valid driver’s license
