influenza virus is contagious and is spread person to person via close6 q. Z8 a- B1 ]* Q
contact. The virus also rests on hard surfaces such as counters and4 `& K: i* e) G/ C3 w
doorknobs and can spread when people touch contaminated surfaces and2 g$ d; P9 C" j q4 G: m4 I
then unknowingly transfer the virus to their eyes, nose or mouth.
# i3 }, J9 Y7 x& a& `Practicing good preventive hygiene (e.g., wash your hands and cover your
! O" D5 O! { Fcough) and following the self-care practices as outlined by Alberta
: t: P* Z' }& B8 q. FHealth and Wellness will greatly assist in minimizing the chance of
