Late last week we learned the details of an ESL program put together with NorQuest College and our Training Centre.

This is an ESL program offered to all new Canadians either in the trades or looking to enter the trades. Participants do not have to be current members of 424.

Very early on, following the voluntary experiment at ESL offered at our centre, it was noted that what new Canadians really need is ESL that is trade specific aimed at language difficulties that kept folks from getting beyond orientation. This course is designed to address this need.% o. d: x# L; N4 v

9 q, T3 I' }# M: oThe attachments here include the invitation and the short questionnaire for participants. We are looking to fill 30 chairs.

While details on times are not absolutely firm we are looking at probably two hour sessions, twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) over a five week course.
