- c3 c, t& m8 y/ k% F0 ]' {4 S3 ]1 ]EMCN works with a multi-cultural community to provide support to youth (ages 9 – 27) through mentorship, recreation and education.

' `' |" ]4 {4 s' L# m9 \! aResponsibilities: build relationships with existing immigrant/refugee youth and their community; provide workshops or work with other agencies to provide workshops on racism, bullying, conflict resolution, leadership, public speaking and others advocate for immigrant youth in the community; creatively plan, organize and evaluate small group activities; support Settlement Practitioners in Schools in their work with families and schools through mentoring, educational sessions and other capacity building activities; learn about EMCN and other programs, services and resources for youth and families for referral.9 u" q$ I6 t; h2 U5 g7 t6 i

P& `( a8 }3 N+ fDesired Skills, education/experience: strong commitment to providing quality services working in an intercultural environment; ability to document and complete reports in an accurate manner; facilitation skills required; development and delivery of workshops; ability to prioritize duties ,ability to perform a variety of diverse tasks; proficiency in both official languages is an asset, as is fluency in languages other than English/French; experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet Usage; extensive evening and weekend work required.% l7 V: r9 ^5 ]* M. |1 c8 y
+ F# x4 x% B. {% qEducation/Technical Skills: Post-secondary education, diploma or degree, preferably in Youth Development, Social Work, Psychology, Community Development, however work experience will be considered. A clean driving abstract and car is needed for this position.6 W: Z/ M# h! e" U3 G
