THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

: ] m/ {0 g% {7 W$ |& lThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
4 }6 d* J3 X' N6 dEligibility Criteria
8 v& ~# ^9 I! Q' z! \3 U* t! i9 OAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
6 w7 ^* ]) g& y1 W•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
8 l9 O3 ]$ S) o! `/ X+ r•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education% t9 h7 ~% o+ R. I) c0 l; g
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
! o8 `. o! Y0 l5 f- a8 t•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
/ h; n! A$ Q2 D! X& b, i" K$ y•No prior Canadian work experience in their field9 E( l: f3 p7 C. |3 D0 W4 R8 k
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less. c0 T1 ?! T, a% Y( \) ` i
•Be eligible to work in Canada

•Lack access to professional networks$ Q/ g/ }0 F3 Y [
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months. This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.3 t; o1 X8 F0 U5 N6 d
