4 s9 S% p3 K8 m" STHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
! ^+ O4 C: K  V7 D0 _* Z- KAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
3 d/ y' B. }' W. D0 R' P•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
# B2 I- l$ A8 @' c1 w; c: A•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
- m7 M# v& ]% E! E•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
. r' _( ?( u" d7 b•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
" B0 a7 i+ ~: X$ C/ }. r•Lack access to professional networks
' `+ |1 w" [$ l$ L: |' z•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
