Change for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.2 f8 Y! c6 Q' w. @ M) ~

4 i' d. `" g) O7 k• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

; I$ t1 }8 w. l: q; C, g$ V0 g• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions# v6 ?1 Y! K6 |2 i! T: H+ m
- ?! x( L6 X% J2 |, {5 q• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
