Police say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.

Officers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van./ S) K+ D3 G t0 z

Police say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.5 v/ F- r$ E& U9 Y( L4 N' q5 m3 o3 G

Roughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.+ D$ P. g; O& G7 ~& R% w I
