There is no National Park in Windsor, Ont.5 V$ d* T( @8 d8 c# i# V
Point Pelee National Park is southeast of Windsor about an hour, near Wheatley, Kingsville and Leamington Ont." v' y* f/ N3 y3 T k$ z' M2 u. W: j" X
It is the Southernmost land point of Canada , and other than group camping, is a day use park only.! o: F* j4 P: ?3 C% {3 q' }

The National Butterfly count takes place August 8th, and you can pre-register your family to take part, lots of fun for the kiddies (Too Late).' r; f7 C) s3 S
Great hiking, guides, canoe tours and rentals, bike rentals and the butterfly migration is something to see.

There are also two Provincial Parks within an hours drive- Wheatley Provincial Park(closest), and Rondeau (farther to the west) if you wish to camp. |
