0 C% R% P# Y( _( H9 w6 YPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events: . {6 I6 l; C* t( v- `& M$ d
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee $ H1 U8 P! v& i- t( o
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
8 G4 W" L L" y: }$ v; Jwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the / F) y1 A4 T0 D( T
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure ' j! D+ l1 M0 K% Q3 Q5 i
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
, i8 w" D. \2 u' z) d: h/ o· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
: R1 X, j$ l5 J) c8 }. k7 d1 u· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
y# c/ ~$ F: I" B" Q6 ?· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
/ @. ?# {, J0 Z4 O5 U8 P· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers & ?5 }2 g5 u9 d! X5 Z
· Complete program administration, statistics and records
h% {9 k/ E$ u3 g ? 2 n' r8 g% U3 P u+ Q* e9 e9 d
Qualifications: 0 T3 l, Z- n& T% ?& [
· Completion of 12th$ ?( p9 \: ?: m" w8 l
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
9 K$ V: ?: G$ ~" l+ GAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. @# \' W# f6 b, z
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct 1 g: l8 D* v$ Y/ e& V: a8 u2 e8 i& ~
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events ! R! A* a8 _. o4 C9 X
· Experience working with and managing volunteers ! c& Z1 O+ k. O+ @
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
0 T& j8 D. p( q( c0 H1 X, \1 c· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events A0 g: e# D' I! B" \
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training

Hours: Flexible – some evening and weekend work

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications
