. Q4 H8 d* T4 P m8 O9 l1 A; ePlan, implement and evaluate Special Events: ' [5 Y" L) Z, x6 m$ H) r6 M
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee ( N$ ~7 }1 l, Y$ v( C4 E
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 8 y. H- @: T( Y/ K- k
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the / Z# N l5 [0 q
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
, c; O s. N" t9 r# J- f0 ~7 Vset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
6 P/ |! Z; F: R- w. D· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
" D( T% J" w. c2 } V( m· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers : J7 L) U; R' k5 t. A6 f
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
; ]+ R- \% M! c+ p8 S) }· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 3 b! ^- b B! G F4 W0 l1 l. O1 y% s
· Complete program administration, statistics and records

· Completion of 12th
) S" K) e9 E9 H4 x1 \ Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
% q Q/ j8 u/ g0 E3 vAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
1 b# ]% u( O' c- A· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct 9 E5 s! b' j- S+ I
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events # `5 V/ v0 N4 X# M
· Experience working with and managing volunteers : `1 k" i, r; Q# p
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors

· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training

Hours: Flexible – some evening and weekend work

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications ; [' ]3 `" C3 g
3-month probation to start
