3.5'' is a little small. Tomtom is not good in NA.

Rapala · 发表于 2009-7-10 11:11

I bought one from HK, $150, 5'' screen, and best of all ,hackable....so that you can install any software you want, IGO, Garmin, Tomtom, you name it. ungrading new maps and POI are free all your life.

别买便宜的，至少要200以上的，这东西可以用很长时间，不值得省钱。

GPS is as accurate as the $500 garmin GPS. Battery sucks, only last for a hour or so, however, I don't care as I only use it on the car.

The sofware preloaded is IGO6 with a 2G sd card. I deleted it and ungraded to the newest version of IG8.3 (best GPS software on the earth)+2009.4 NA maps + redlight camera+anything I feel fancy, from here http://www.gpsunderground.com/forums/

The only think I don't like is that it too big to put in my pocket. :)

for sure, I will call you this weekend, did you buy that motor?

Rapala · 发表于 2009-7-10 14:09

I bought a 40pond minn kota trolling motor, plus that deep cycle battery.
http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/b ... rolling%2BMotor.jsp

this one is on sale this week.

I'll take a picture for you this weekend when I use it. I tried it couple of weeks ago. very good, and cost me only $15 bucks. All you need is a 3/4'' copper water pipe and a hammer to bend it.

thanks. but how come this gps got such a low rate?

Rapala · 发表于 2009-7-10 14:50

浪里黑条 is absolutely wrong.

GPS like your mp3 nowadays. Who is still using ipod 512M? We change them every second year.

GPS will became cheaper and cheaper, just like cell phones.

My suggestions is go with the most feature ones. If you don't want to spend more money on ungrading maps, buy one I suggested. or buy this one from costco: http://www.costco.ca/Browse/Prod ... ;lang=en-CA&s=1
