The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.& ~1 W6 K% d* i6 ]

• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors9 S4 D3 \3 I) N0 I$ K" v
• Answer multi line telephone system1 e+ _ ^# ]! b; S2 g
• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries
n1 I: y# B# G7 z" w• Arrange courier services for all departments" n5 z; _& K- A
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

Administration
4 s: R* f. I7 g" [• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail
" t" {2 A; C3 ^$ u, z• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries' M1 r7 ~8 x8 f: ~
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency
3 m6 N- P! R& @. S( f: [! x3 `) K+ q* r• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration

• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution
, T6 m: Q" ?3 }6 K4 P9 K& f• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments

Qualifications:
1 h9 _& L' ]- S2 Y, M2 E( x! J& `0 |2 b. c- ?' y/ `, d% ?
• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures" ]) t& m& I6 ?- Z
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
' T# k) n- h+ }3 z% a• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset
/ q% {- x( D/ d9 m/ Z% r; F• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
