Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff. ( W8 o, R6 H. x' \& |/ g

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff

: X& c( b2 \8 OKey Responsibilities Include:
0 E, ?& t1 C5 L9 q9 E' {$ i6 ]Activity Planning and Daily Activity- R% Y, Y+ }$ R3 a+ u
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
: v4 s" |; O) u$ K1 c( l• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
1 k" h3 c: m1 A) w8 I• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, + Q1 J) \0 x8 H9 a) h" c
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
8 c7 }, Y" W0 Z8 g• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time. B2 ?2 G' S4 Y3 V. C6 I9 I
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

9 c j, S# k, ?The successful candidate will have:
- ^& H x' e/ a& c5 ~: h: n• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting: P/ V! D" o* Q
• Experience with children6 m5 A* P+ m$ M" G, L
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
9 T z. L) ^ f• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.+ H) O( y* P. s5 _: e1 F2 U( N
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.0 E' R) M" u/ F$ _
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources( l% R5 b+ _+ Z$ y
• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check 7 `4 o" U3 ]% g2 \; C6 w
• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
