Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff. % T) k! N! u2 U% W

Key Responsibilities Include:
) w5 g* v6 @3 ]# C, [Activity Planning and Daily Activity' P( C; J- D/ S# |9 g1 K- {0 r& R3 {
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.$ s3 u7 m1 d: g4 k
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. . V$ p5 B$ K( O. Z& X3 [9 V
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
+ n* H5 k, T4 y" E, q3 @• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.7 O$ d" B- h' R+ G2 d+ l
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.7 H/ ? X* T# y
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

9 N7 ~6 A7 W3 I& T' d) k• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
2 f' \1 f9 Q# D. o9 b# V" `• Experience with children" q; }. R* l5 O+ X
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth 9 z( a8 _7 J# ~# `
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.) x5 n7 d& P3 a8 b% ~
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.: l7 s) |9 u6 _. f2 O7 B
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources

• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check # K4 M/ x) v7 b/ Y6 n3 D9 D6 x
