4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff ' Y- F! b5 M$ W
(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)& _0 q/ z0 c* s% P
1 L/ w1 ?9 Z6 w/ ?: P$ A/ c% OKey Responsibilities Include:
& r! N+ w" ~- A6 L gActivity Planning and Daily Activity
+ q/ M0 x3 t. I) z% r" J• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.) _7 S+ q( U1 s' P7 }+ c. ?" D5 p
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. 4 t' U4 H; ~% u+ [- L) N( t
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
w! c6 c- ]- Q5 Z6 ~• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.& c/ O9 ~* ~, a7 n h
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.( Y% o7 f6 e! F0 l$ G
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.( w$ r9 F6 T Q
3 g0 B+ m. u: G( H \The successful candidate will have:- R2 u. N4 ]- ?- {
• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
; W7 t/ b; r) [* E" Q, U• Experience with children
+ q0 [1 z. p, p1 H4 ]; `' ]/ n* z• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
5 W$ l3 _6 C7 i" y• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
7 T, j' D9 J9 l1 U# }• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
; l. s Y3 m4 G9 b: R) a• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources; r, {8 Q S" B+ L+ H- e# g" A
• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check 5 H8 @6 E' |* c" R7 T0 }' {
• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check - I& O8 @6 D9 L# y: J
$ F6 e% d3 i; V }2 ?9 T
