Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff. & R. ~9 Q9 L. c& A: J

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff

Key Responsibilities Include:
0 Y' x$ p' B( b( s% \Activity Planning and Daily Activity- r5 l6 G& I9 [5 @
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.3 h% N% Y2 l0 V, N' k' w( D
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
- T- X3 a5 i, {3 x• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
2 M0 ^. k: L: v$ J: c) U5 v• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.! z. W- J. C2 E1 v2 F4 I% T W
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.. X; }1 `/ g/ }% m. M4 ~
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting+ ~" t* h0 T+ `' J
• Experience with children& `7 s& v1 X, [, _+ s! {. R
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
0 t+ B- `1 @+ i0 N6 O) D• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.( b M% W- f2 S9 K
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
* x7 Q, g/ _$ J' V• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
; T( |7 }! D I9 a& I8 f0 W" M• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
: _1 z$ g1 a- s& \• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
