/ y. t, T3 l( r' w( U# qBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

+ P; J8 B+ A, u/ V4 e$ c2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
( H+ F0 V$ d( d! z! y$ `(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

7 d' P+ _% m/ B( K7 z( V7 @: K3 yKey Responsibilities Include
4 U. P+ \0 T" V8 C" wActivity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
  x: V1 s5 _1 c•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
* f5 n1 B9 i0 a•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
$ g9 L; ~: C! M; e* }) S•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

! ~2 l% m( h/ C4 l9 |The successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
) J6 w- z- ]5 S, i( `8 ?% P•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
8 S8 h4 i- L7 Q$ {•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
•        A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
