Key Responsibilities Include7 `* v# }+ ?6 e2 S# p5 R6 p0 Y, V
Activity Planning and Daily Activity# f. Y! \. m+ U6 }! ~4 g
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
8 X, C( ^, s3 G/ `3 t/ w• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
( B+ [6 z1 [6 S3 g• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, " ~' e, L! u q
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.1 S# M% r* a& }4 {- E v1 c
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.& [4 v! G, f1 F. h: J% Y4 h2 Z1 U
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.9 S5 s# }. k# J
% o3 ]( }/ s% i( L7 q
The successful candidate will have:1 k e9 z9 y" d1 K9 I: |4 Y
• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
4 c, i; K: k- L0 i! J7 q$ m! v- C• Experience with children
, G/ q/ A5 d" s5 y( r9 p+ F• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
/ o t [1 q+ H' g+ H• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.9 n7 Y$ M; d9 o4 C7 c, ~8 _# V! `* V
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
K2 U5 P' o/ k; c• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
