Responsible for the following key functions:
3 |  J0 M. B- @+ \: k$ U4 OPerforming product upgrade activities in the Production environment
) d% j. m# @3 wParticipating in data migration and conversion initiatives
1 ^$ H  |; V! t' D' Z, L6 T) Z! SPerforming changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
8 G" B# l3 P* h( `# J5 aTroubleshooting production issues
7 G; q! \0 Z8 I. B. w- t* nParticipating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
. ]+ g; R, B! eMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
) B3 p  u/ a/ ~/ d! C: |7 v" _Providing technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
' W# x4 D$ a1 X' J4 dProviding application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
& w! f& l# U( JDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
3 j5 H6 e$ m# \2 P9 E7 |Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

2 \# D& c; X% U9 a0 aGeneral:
Diploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
Experience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
) J4 h9 [+ @  \( k/ FDetail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
Strong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
' [& N- R% d% L3 O7 aStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
Technical:
Required:
Experience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
$ `; ]# I6 _4 tDemonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
( N( i* S4 m/ u! kExperience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
' m3 X" t. K3 H7 N* t$ N+ A. _Strong SQL skills

Experience supporting applications that use:
