Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

* k3 z: n+ c: v' B- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
& F& v" M( O5 p9 h$ U* H, v: `- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency
- k* F$ [. n- ?% U
$ ]# o1 q1 [8 `* d& K$ TQualifications:

- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
* S/ p- x; y: ~- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- J& f( X* ]* g4 c$ b2 V9 E- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
, D7 A" x) m' ?" T! R- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
