FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern # A+ a; _- F# X" t5 k

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
/ n$ f" v& r$ ]emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video ' P3 }* [# A4 f8 _" Q. G6 r# ^
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
( e( k, L% B2 [1 aresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
% [2 k/ p( p- l8 w" l4 }screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern Q& m, } H, e) G5 x$ \9 W

* T' w% Q+ j$ M: h; m, P+ A9 dJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
- P; C' C+ @6 c* V' g: T- EFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
+ X; @8 K, V( N2 ?( r% t& U, y$ jwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
' _! v4 E! s! F7 J7 O. g( E1 z4 D- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ' A# U- v) R) o2 x2 n
- Implement a catalogue template for future use ( O' ?; U. Y7 h1 G
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 8 u' l, ^6 _: h0 G% [- G" e! o+ G* n. B2 }
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 3 q& k) t$ l: H! L! W

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Strong organizational skills 7 t) p4 {' X" v9 H2 e( N# P# l
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
! n" r: y, ^9 n0 `. g1 t- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal % x& K$ Q6 P, V, g! h* ?
- Strong team player abilities 6 i" ?7 O; k W( q0 m2 E- }
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
