FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
/ ~+ [6 E- E/ L! S1 temerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
4 a; \/ D2 N& S/ ]* Gand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
! {( \, s, d, z, ^resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
. y7 |7 W: E$ ?screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 1 |: }* ?' b' c
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
+ I+ ?1 M" H6 g' @; E/ sFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ) y0 |9 g/ U) X. s9 u. y; @
well as the script, magazine and book library. M( @1 V, \8 v$ P" w6 j
( F1 I- y6 T1 |8 _( B* B& oDuties: & d+ |6 Y( ?/ j
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
# N7 P' h1 o- b/ ~1 X& ]8 C- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
; ~5 a1 s6 h u- Implement a catalogue template for future use 9 ~1 l: g5 w% r n: L$ o/ `
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
& y d3 e: L- f1 j3 X- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-
