FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the ( s8 g" E; J& z; a7 x2 H
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ) u' P6 ?( q) B J* L7 V/ n2 V2 L+ f0 S
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 3 X4 L3 P" k8 i1 I2 ?) L* r

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

g3 r$ S% I! Z+ O H7 C# O- FJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 9 t. B6 k( I1 x
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
& F7 R4 T$ U' @/ zwell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Implement a catalogue template for future use
+ ^) _7 y! X. T# D- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure " x P; U* J. D5 [7 P
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 5 F/ p; X5 c) ?$ ~+ {/ s

secondary training, university preferred

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
