) w/ B( }$ ?7 b. xFAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization

|7 {" U0 ], _( bartists from Northern Alberta.

. W, x( o( y+ X1 ^4 EFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from 8 |" q: j+ x* o2 V' g
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 9 |8 e3 A7 p6 j7 m3 j
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
+ @7 v; }" r( a4 k- j) }. Bresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
/ ~* M' f/ \: B+ \0 h, Rscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

# H; r3 D9 q; s9 L& AJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive b! `! X6 j( r$ L
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
' G4 }/ D) _! \/ Qassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties:
2 P2 c/ f% R: K6 E- Assist with research on acquisition grants
9 h, S1 J& _5 O' X- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
3 [8 e$ f5 V2 Q* N4 P/ E- Assist with equipment maintenance
1 e) c6 R) B3 W- Assist with production logistics for programming events
8 G# j& Q+ L0 @. R5 G- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
# X% u- k9 w! V- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Advance organizational and research skills
