CSSA Spring Trip to Jasper on May 21, 22, and 23.

CSSA will organize a Spring Trip to Jasper from May 21 to 23, 2005.
Activities include sight viewing, canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge, and

spring at Miette Hot Springs.
" y8 \- F. `3 p( ~We will go to Jasper by mini-van rented by CSSA and driven by CSSA
Volunteers.
% X+ @9 f) d) X: V$ ~" AWe'll stay there for two nights. Accommodations are arranged by CSSA.

responsible for your own meals during this trip. Please refer to the

Day One
-        Ride to Jasper by mini-van.(7 people per minivan)
2 q; L9 H5 }# _/ ^-        Canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge.($35 per canoe per hour and $25 per
half
hour)(Each canoe can hold 3 people at most.)
0 f$ G1 S5 h. x& K" Y" p* d! N-        Hot spring in Jasper for the evening.(Usually hot spring costs about
$6 per
person. So it's not that expensive. And after knowing how many people
will go,
I can work on a group price for us. So sign up for this activity. If
you are
1 Y* {- l1 @4 ^( e) lnot going, you could also have a little visit in Jasper town while
other
people go to the hot spring.)
-        Stays the night in Jasper.

-        Sight Viewing in Japer: We'll go Maligne Lake first thing in the
3 O, ~; b3 q& dmorning .
. r2 l: y; n( O3 S0 A& l; r& uAnd we'll do the Malign Boat Cruises.(I'll take us 90 minutes round
8 ?5 G  o: ?7 H5 W+ mtrip. It's
" A; D* }! r- d2 \$35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12years old)). If you haven't done
this
7 M3 f  g; H* {; r( Ubefore, I strongly recommend you to do so.
9 R( j% t/ K) I+ ^+ L1 W8 I, P-        Stays the night in Jasper and no activities in day 2's evening so
that you

so.

3 U2 h& E* i/ y0 ?) |-        Ride home in the early afternoon since we need to return the rented
van on

Things to Bring:
0 q% E" S) F7 H: S& w3 f- h- G) H-        Travel needs.
5 ~8 Z* T, b& f. J5 y! G& w, \-        Swim suit if you want to do Hot Spring.
-       Sun glasses and sun screen to protect your eyes and skin.
+ ^  _2 c7 Y- I6 L& P-       Camera. It's beautiful in the mountain in the spring.
-       Bring some warm clothes since it's still cool in the mountain
. `; g: V4 X/ t5 `in the
late May. And we also will go to the Columbia Ice Field so warm clothes

shoes are definitely needed.
-       Wear comfort shoes cause we'll do lots of walking and of course
9 Z) D5 L& q3 Y6 [( Z0 G  s0 adrving.(But you won't need to worry about the driving).
$ c( A( c5 ]) C6 i0 D7 q2 R- d, E-       We won't take care of the food for you, but we'll stop at

there are food at lunch or dinner hour, so you could have something to

Feel free to bring your own food. (Like instant noodles.) (There is an
IGA in
2 C. ^5 |8 B" ~$ u8 s( RJasper, so you could always buy food there if you need.)

Cost: $160, this price includes your share of car rentals, gas,
two-night

excludes
1 X8 b" I2 h; gthe hot-spring, the canoeing, and the maligne Boat Cruises).
- s9 x, k% b0 m4 @. dHot Spring ticket was about $6 in total according to last year's price.
7 k1 H# D4 t9 w6 p0 {( PCanoeing is $35 per canoe per hour, $25 per half an hour.

When we come back from the trip, according to the expenses we'll return

winter, everyone will have returned money finally. And when we come
