CSSA Spring Trip to Jasper on May 21, 22, and 23.

CSSA will organize a Spring Trip to Jasper from May 21 to 23, 2005.
Activities include sight viewing, canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge, and
hot
' @6 _1 \4 O0 A2 q5 O+ }spring at Miette Hot Springs.
/ R% b2 l+ _" J! k1 z1 Q2 DWe will go to Jasper by mini-van rented by CSSA and driven by CSSA
Volunteers.
We'll stay there for two nights. Accommodations are arranged by CSSA.

Day One
: O$ j5 K( A" b2 [) @& L-        Ride to Jasper by mini-van.(7 people per minivan)
-        Canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge.($35 per canoe per hour and $25 per

you are
not going, you could also have a little visit in Jasper town while
other
people go to the hot spring.)
-        Stays the night in Jasper.

-        Sight Viewing in Japer: We'll go Maligne Lake first thing in the
5 N4 z: d1 F1 u: p" o7 zmorning .
And we'll do the Malign Boat Cruises.(I'll take us 90 minutes round
0 m+ y1 Q) ]5 T8 [' ztrip. It's
$35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12years old)). If you haven't done
this
before, I strongly recommend you to do so.
-        Stays the night in Jasper and no activities in day 2's evening so

could visit the town by yourself, or go to the bar and have a drink or

-        Ride home in the early afternoon since we need to return the rented

Things to Bring:
-        Travel needs.
-        Swim suit if you want to do Hot Spring.
-       Sun glasses and sun screen to protect your eyes and skin.
# ^. B$ C! h/ o! [, ]-       Camera. It's beautiful in the mountain in the spring.
$ S) n! y( {: U. y1 }3 D5 G-       Bring some warm clothes since it's still cool in the mountain
in the
late May. And we also will go to the Columbia Ice Field so warm clothes

* R1 `  j8 A( e& |7 j3 Q6 C# j4 oshoes are definitely needed.
; n7 F+ c) F4 [-       Wear comfort shoes cause we'll do lots of walking and of course
" |0 S4 A6 S- ^% [8 xdrving.(But you won't need to worry about the driving).

places where
there are food at lunch or dinner hour, so you could have something to
eat.
1 t/ c4 J1 s2 rFeel free to bring your own food. (Like instant noodles.) (There is an
IGA in
Jasper, so you could always buy food there if you need.)

Cost: $160, this price includes your share of car rentals, gas,
two-night
# `  q8 d2 u0 Daccommodation in jasper, and national park entrance tickets, and it
excludes
the hot-spring, the canoeing, and the maligne Boat Cruises).
Hot Spring ticket was about $6 in total according to last year's price.
: H7 i9 Y7 l0 W2 x# `9 \Canoeing is $35 per canoe per hour, $25 per half an hour.
Maligne Boat Cruises are $35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12 years
5 p% _# e  C+ n7 a" xold).
When we come back from the trip, according to the expenses we'll return

- j9 {5 Z7 g- f- ]2 I; A* _extra money to you. According to the Trip we organized to Banff in last
3 @0 }, A6 h# b$ l/ |2 Z* xwinter, everyone will have returned money finally. And when we come

everyone will gets an expense list for this trip.
