Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
5 V$ E/ O, M1 O5 C# l7 R- Organize focus group(s)
6 P% a$ n( u" e/ _- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- ~4 {6 B& F& V  t- Find sponsors to enhance program
! C  W$ P3 |# g$ ]2 |- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency
# \$ l) b" Y1 A( P& k' Z
Qualifications:

" u  k% Q7 s1 m$ k+ {% H8 J4 L+ T4 G- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
& w+ U" H+ n7 a+ C7 s- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
# I  R" T) E4 h" P, R- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
& e5 B3 V9 O) |8 g- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
