Position title: Community Development Worker

provide services for Chinese community, {/ f4 U! s6 ?) @5 M# ?
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population " q6 u( ^, W) s! v2 }6 X9 q* W& ]
access to mainstream services
/ k4 Y, Z; o9 k3 z q- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of

1 J$ T1 ], r! c! @# f* i) n" R! e- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies; i& m2 Y4 j7 ]# L4 S. s2 N' L
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
# ]0 i6 J& c' C* X& e- update ASSIST website" {3 {2 n4 c7 O+ L! p- n0 L
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
0 h3 h! Q4 [6 v, Z5 ?9 e, V- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services4 f4 t% ~+ f3 g6 V" D/ U
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
( L9 M. [* R) C9 q experience and education
( r; V* }: g* H r- good oral and written Chinese and English skills# m8 u4 @6 l4 Y2 [: _
- experience in community work and immigrant services% g5 m5 e* l4 x) @% w* c* ~* I
- experience in website update/design
