Position title: Community Development Worker - p+ y$ `4 X4 _* g

Job Description: l0 p3 {. E( p" u1 |5 R2 G
- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to 6 Y: K5 r% [4 F4 u5 q5 a
provide services for Chinese community& v" a# x t5 { ~8 _# Z
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
; Y. X& V: r R2 |( ^ access to mainstream services2 Q9 @ ?6 U. m+ d9 q* x2 _- ~/ m
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
7 g+ O4 Q/ g$ n3 N$ Z social services
! J* \2 F4 g8 k$ r Q# ?0 A- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
) ?5 Z2 f6 h9 E( Q. V3 x0 g- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
& J) Z$ C( B& s0 B' V- update ASSIST website6 c, g! k4 j# G4 _% A# g$ S
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre2 z5 D3 _- A- s! ?" d7 I
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
: ?; V: ^: F7 R7 g- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
1 M1 H' h% v0 [ t- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
* ?: W4 ^1 N6 @& \: C experience and education
7 `/ Y. u) m# L: T. Z- good oral and written Chinese and English skills% G8 J: W9 R' j, M6 n
- experience in community work and immigrant services/ j0 p" [( y: }# n# k
- experience in website update/design# w7 k g3 l0 l; U' l
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
