Job Description

provide services for Chinese community) z, t- B" o) o9 [# _8 A
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
( N+ e* O6 J% n, \: Y6 b access to mainstream services
+ z! w. N- }, X- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
# m# G) l; R7 ]& a# Z social services
+ R# L7 l7 s/ o& A- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
# m5 Y$ k- M; Q; ~0 t- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre0 m, k) N7 K+ w; R' S7 e* d# p
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services0 k! C5 [! B" p% ?' F
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time+ k. H" d1 q# T% n1 ?
- update membership database

2 x. R1 ?$ R4 O p* B' Z) D$ S, Z( [- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
/ E# K2 j+ M, r! T9 U; W9 a/ p experience and education
/ U4 f4 u$ c0 P0 F3 ]- good oral and written Chinese and English skills# c- t5 g7 } o' G! T1 C. i5 A/ n
- experience in community work and immigrant services& o0 j6 z; F7 A1 @ S
- experience in website update/design1 b% h" d: U1 m( @, ~
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
