Position title: Community Development Worker
" t7 T" L- d" G- U2 RTerm: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

/ ]  N1 H7 s! L: c, @7 q-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
        provide services for Chinese community
-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
9 j) w. o4 s, `8 t        access to mainstream services
2 L. v) k8 y+ M! ]-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
        social services
-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
: p% M+ L, W! d) j; T' }1 S- V% v-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
1 k% x* ?7 ]0 A1 R) A-        update ASSIST website
-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
# T' P  W0 m3 d* T6 Q( e" K+ h+ U-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
" a' U5 F  _: f$ |/ j% I" d; N' e-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
+ u4 |2 L, G; d% W$ o        experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
% v: v$ X+ ?$ `/ {( X0 Z-        experience in community work and immigrant services
6 ]+ a8 R+ k- Q' L+ d-        experience in website update/design
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
