Position title: Community Development Worker

% @2 m( u) d) e provide services for Chinese community
9 E* l+ b7 n1 f( I7 v- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
3 v8 i( M) t! g access to mainstream services9 I9 G, V3 |4 b; U
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
) a8 @# Y) @" S- Q! f5 T social services7 G# A4 E* y4 l2 p# a G
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
8 `$ s8 `7 {" P' h& y$ Z$ q6 K! `& f- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

7 o: r' t: k: {1 f- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

Qualifications1 I4 s |9 b4 M- E1 h, T$ }7 w4 O7 v {
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
# {' Q3 t$ a7 c/ W- b) u0 e) i experience and education
/ T" E: `& S9 J- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
) ^. g* t' M @3 m2 E6 z7 L6 d- experience in community work and immigrant services) c3 C! e- y2 q1 O1 C
- experience in website update/design
Y' V, ?. x) B- N- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
