Position title: Community Development Worker

-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
        provide services for Chinese community
-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
. D, f: E( \+ I. f1 H# S4 h        access to mainstream services
-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
        social services
: o# I  n8 ?, m* q-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
$ [" \5 |: j* A# K: p-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
1 {. D& L0 a( v1 X7 }$ R2 T& |-        update ASSIST website
  a7 D8 v* D! i' `. M1 y- o-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
! y+ G( I0 M: Q" H; W& K-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
! ]' Y1 w; `% M. j-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
        experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-        experience in community work and immigrant services
-        experience in website update/design
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
