Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to

- H# V; p/ a% e# \) ?7 k. a5 Q- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population ( n+ @. s. d {% V
access to mainstream services& c( L/ c" ^! K( i
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 7 E) E# j' K: O+ v9 `# u: y; y
social services8 o$ Q, ]7 [6 Z
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies1 d/ B, w ?; m2 f' z
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members$ t, {1 \- h# U
- update ASSIST website
+ Q( P! L; v7 L) _; }. v; G- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre' o0 \+ Y& q) |' i1 g
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

Qualifications- d* m8 E0 a5 Q1 |& ` b+ j
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
" Y* G) ~: O8 H# X experience and education # K4 Z/ ^( m% ?4 m6 m! M
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills3 c& R9 m; n' x6 a/ o& O6 J
- experience in community work and immigrant services% y( D2 S3 G7 L" O
- experience in website update/design* G% V( K f2 _* p. y
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
