Job Description
1 l' N' J: s7 X* d- A9 e- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to ) h s0 j* n- S+ d: T
provide services for Chinese community6 n3 {# t2 g Y9 X) J. @
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 0 z0 i6 x+ r# f! @9 [; |
access to mainstream services# a9 s( M N% K7 \6 M( b& l) a# |
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of . F' P& i& K1 p- \/ F
social services& t0 [+ m7 z$ s L9 E6 x) {
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies! ~4 s. D% l' }
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
! ^9 ^* U3 y6 z- update ASSIST website! H# A& o6 ?( B" V! i
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
( ?; A* e* f2 i1 x+ j- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
( V u1 L: O9 n- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time' W* \5 @' i! W% B$ p
- update membership database
* \+ J" k, c5 w% G1 b- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications2 [5 J7 X; I1 X, k; m* n3 F
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 6 ]* n) g$ o/ f4 S$ }+ E: s
experience and education
, u. N3 w6 F3 K {2 Y8 @6 M' G- good oral and written Chinese and English skills! r8 T8 V. `" G& ~+ A% u
- experience in community work and immigrant services
5 c4 q$ d2 s6 P' l- experience in website update/design( l3 ^3 R. H' x' c N% e9 D& U& l
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
