Position title: Community Development Worker

Job Description

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
; ?2 i7 F v0 M+ M/ A/ Z8 I access to mainstream services4 u2 U8 {! I, w, e
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 3 r% J# P% H7 _1 b# t: U% ?" D
social services
/ [9 D, N1 ]8 J2 O! U- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
" y3 |: e" y A- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members3 |! @' U% P5 H# `0 H( e* Z
- update ASSIST website7 [+ \- w4 y$ M; ^; o' U# T
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

Qualifications1 e0 ?& G) U$ p1 B4 b2 O# O
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of ! }' x" ~& E' B4 B" K) h {
experience and education 9 Q. ^1 B( |3 P* v# z% r# t
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills: `+ e" e. }; o+ j+ m
- experience in community work and immigrant services
/ G; @( i ?0 y& d' L- experience in website update/design1 c' s7 ~& Q5 d
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset. p1 A1 i5 w' k, |9 a* u
