- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to ' {- ]) K3 w. I, |
provide services for Chinese community1 E6 c0 v4 [' k3 _* l! r
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population - J; b' R E3 v/ v9 n2 P& x- D V
access to mainstream services! r! p4 C5 u4 L
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
( q- H; V2 O( a: x social services
" F4 Q( \+ C5 l- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
, ~ \8 h9 u/ ~9 M- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members( h) `3 z' }! h% ~# _2 S
- update ASSIST website
c2 R* K l0 j: S# l- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre3 t4 B' f7 j- C; R) Y
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
" f- d! `9 P+ [# q0 f' v- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of ' @" B, I( ~. U& k9 w( w5 S# l
experience and education
8 }; g$ c1 S, _( F+ Q2 U( Q- good oral and written Chinese and English skills% q- g! S& f8 x# K: }4 _2 Y
- experience in community work and immigrant services
! P: q$ m4 N4 |/ D- experience in website update/design
/ m# ~. ~- D* N" |2 k( o- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset4 {2 j5 t. g& G9 K9 ?# b; L
