Position title: Community Development Worker ; h- n. t# d& ] r; {- w
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
0 w( V' b; p. W$ k provide services for Chinese community

- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 4 a* i: G5 y& H/ w* I
social services
E+ S4 x, `4 k! w" H# J5 t- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies1 e0 P4 K' ?* o0 x- k! n% J7 |2 o2 D
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members& l0 h- d. p! q" A; M
- update ASSIST website0 }2 d) o1 z/ ?3 Z3 Y
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre1 Y1 X' ]/ ]! u. m8 ]4 V! S1 Y
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
5 n) T$ _8 A/ @1 v4 Z- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications
8 I- S9 ?4 `. D2 p5 V2 B3 _. T- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of , ]% y, |1 h3 V: g n# T4 [1 C
experience and education 3 k3 Y( n# d9 r: r4 @, U
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
/ A. D( C( k0 h. H/ A! p- experience in community work and immigrant services
6 }8 ]+ [4 f8 s9 R# e- experience in website update/design$ w J5 G7 l, p4 G( w4 v
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset6 i/ D/ W$ i5 b1 q$ B$ e
