Position title: Community Development Worker

provide services for Chinese community

access to mainstream services9 y2 Q, E/ W2 t. z% T% h1 {( ]& a
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
$ L9 E/ V: `$ h social services
) E6 `9 h- A" f3 D/ E: H* s- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies9 ]5 I4 Z/ Z# O
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members) U2 ?/ c- J/ W# ?8 Q
- update ASSIST website
0 E! C u( Q. U3 H Z/ b- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre; n5 m6 W4 T( |; L2 R/ Z
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

Qualifications
^, ~# m5 E) {" ^- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 0 b8 J9 G; e" u% P9 }" c
experience and education
. Y# g+ I( g5 C( K3 Q) L2 M- good oral and written Chinese and English skills9 b; f# |; P& N, k# |
- experience in community work and immigrant services
6 h8 t6 a r0 J2 k ]9 f% m- [8 V- experience in website update/design" c1 e; j! y4 ]) A, X& C- }
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset, t0 A7 }7 N g5 O& \7 h Y
