Job Description

provide services for Chinese community
, c6 J1 g2 ~; q- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 3 a, i' s# c0 |$ ]
access to mainstream services- H& J* v: I" F) O* _3 |( k+ m7 f0 W
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ' b) O0 H5 f4 J+ d* S) k
social services! P; V; \5 e9 `2 i5 {+ l: @* p
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
5 \* G! O" q$ k0 Y2 K- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
! G! U6 i) t9 U# V$ _8 ~+ i- update ASSIST website

- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services- m X0 ~* _7 E( w, ^. F
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time9 u8 `( R1 t& ?3 }
- update membership database
! P y1 m; n2 Q9 F# I4 A- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of

- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
" K6 z/ u( f) R, R: P W- experience in community work and immigrant services8 J! r1 I) ~. K1 J2 F2 a
- experience in website update/design' {0 e4 Y" m" }3 C1 M! t' n
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
