Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to 9 {7 w: [: d' F+ X) c$ R, v) M& U
provide services for Chinese community4 D" E: G0 w2 M6 r4 F7 Y5 z
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
5 g4 J& _3 u- c; r access to mainstream services( Q2 j% K7 ^. M$ b" y8 l
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ! N! l/ L) a* ~1 d# q0 d! b
social services' n( h1 A% j8 y
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
6 `% u6 _$ T0 _3 j9 u- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications+ B) D2 B' O+ X& B8 u3 R( G
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
. C7 @# U- k* E ~2 Y experience and education
# @) n5 p( p0 [, y! q" c B- good oral and written Chinese and English skills! R" E. e' b- i8 \- i0 E4 Y
- experience in community work and immigrant services2 u" ?) ?* }. i# Q# I- j/ X7 Z
- experience in website update/design. Z5 `+ c% c6 Q; e
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset3 [3 P- u5 w+ t2 L9 `
