- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to 0 _7 C! l% O# v4 N& \9 n
provide services for Chinese community
; [% v6 y) J! L: }3 {- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
( D0 x1 h5 K* K$ y access to mainstream services
" K# W5 g" \* D8 A, ?8 V/ x( u- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
1 [3 I& b: w& Q3 \8 o, x social services
; Q4 u1 \ e( W. w- \! k& `- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies+ y$ l' u9 R* r) q. W* u0 Y# e
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members* H) e9 o/ s/ x+ H
- update ASSIST website1 E: o- o$ c. @- U
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre, N1 t* P1 b/ a7 A
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services) B, h) `, {' f* R* z5 [9 [; n
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time2 n+ C, E5 C4 S% G6 w% y/ |
- update membership database
; P! F+ X3 |3 D4 ]- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 0 K3 c [# z% z( a* `7 @
experience and education 5 l! S5 ?' U8 X+ i+ K1 Z& T
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills# t+ |0 |7 l. t4 a0 s
- experience in community work and immigrant services
5 c5 J+ ^" E0 P+ N- experience in website update/design
* N- B/ _+ H9 M% y% ^# g. j% J- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset0 C0 s- d# I# @ J! u: C7 P) G, x
