Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

( P1 @. V/ [) I/ |* O* m- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to : l u5 p% h2 \$ s/ ~
provide services for Chinese community
. ?2 n e8 X7 y' i9 [- e- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
$ y. I h% p, O( b2 Z access to mainstream services
}$ M9 d, m; ^% l- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
, H' ?; A2 b9 M, D: X- l" x social services
/ P' |& r! x8 N. W- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies$ V1 B4 T% y3 Q8 D* ]
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members6 r5 W1 u1 p7 e6 L
- update ASSIST website
o* [, X* L: U5 B- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre" ?0 m) N8 }1 } T- k) B
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
; {8 H( P8 @4 \0 m* ]2 O4 N- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications5 T; h% X" B( A# c; j& z
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
. o0 R4 A$ L2 ~' e6 W3 ^6 r experience and education
& W% \, I) i, i# [, ?- good oral and written Chinese and English skills. U& [- f. I, B- j. E
- experience in community work and immigrant services
6 C0 y1 O8 N, [4 R/ @% }/ q- experience in website update/design' z3 l c& m: h- @' ~2 Z( g5 G
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset* M6 g, F' p! H5 l, X- S. D
