Position title: Community Development Worker

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population T9 e; _) @$ z' U0 C6 {6 }
access to mainstream services
, g* u5 r& x+ c' B- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 6 M* g" z# [8 l. h% C, {
social services
T' A- k% e' S! v- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
1 O6 F }& G, p# O. c1 g- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members( g# Y9 f, H6 L7 a2 \8 e2 ^
- update ASSIST website
1 k( D+ w0 }6 e: ]3 Z- @. Z- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
1 h( W( m( x9 a- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

& x( ^( @9 V+ F3 J5 f- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of # }$ R! G* K: b/ c
experience and education
" _1 q0 \: y! x! ~( M5 u" Y: `; l- good oral and written Chinese and English skills' H& N5 s% k" K
- experience in community work and immigrant services7 h. i6 { V8 X2 G5 B* V8 C
- experience in website update/design: m0 ^, B) N ~ l1 x
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
