Position title: Community Development Worker

provide services for Chinese community
+ k4 x; E, }+ C! }0 H- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
4 Z( g1 }! N( O. U4 u3 V+ X access to mainstream services
+ I7 c/ u8 v) ]" J- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of & {: P- e" a) R3 E: r! x+ G
social services$ S* C4 u* F2 q. }( y. B8 L
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
/ Z5 M+ y5 _; k% U6 k0 Z5 ~" P0 d- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre- M6 Z2 k# d% S5 f
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- update membership database# w! G c/ `/ L t
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications4 x) Y6 i! t2 L
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
% V2 \3 g* f5 c( t experience and education 9 N5 [- ~/ s0 \/ s% r; g
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
: A z% m( w+ f) Q9 N- experience in community work and immigrant services
$ X4 g4 m' {4 B' C- u8 N0 x- experience in website update/design
1 n( f2 m& C. Q3 u. A- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
