Position title: Community Development Worker - O9 L$ y L% c5 |2 G
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to / L! G& p% Z J
provide services for Chinese community8 v- \5 u3 U# }4 l
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
% U, i0 n# p4 o/ S( D. O/ ^ access to mainstream services' i) ?% F4 ~ m* x% r
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 7 q7 c5 S6 H( b. z
social services! B; ^4 C9 q C, ~& T. Y
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
! t1 y; _0 V! W% C8 \, r; Q$ F- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- L3 @/ V+ W2 V5 j( B5 p) Y( e- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
! f, z7 V8 s+ l9 E- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
1 B2 H* Z- A4 x2 M2 d- ~- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications
+ E' C# G5 _# S" `' F- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of + G9 j8 _4 [' l& v7 q% E3 Y
experience and education
- b4 I2 J+ D1 d+ V, w) c' h- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
' W/ c p3 ]& n3 U! b Q% W- experience in community work and immigrant services
1 m) L& c% C9 e$ u1 a- experience in website update/design: ]3 y9 H$ @; V/ _8 e0 [
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset8 w; [/ N3 T( V" J/ K6 o8 C
