Job Description
/ H' L ?* Q* V8 i; L" g8 Z+ \- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
! D# u0 `6 e X2 ~% w9 I provide services for Chinese community* E7 z& W/ q- C: `- x, i
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population " N+ m7 a8 Z4 }1 r3 b" b9 }
access to mainstream services% C% c# b9 T% I4 ~5 `' S9 X
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of * E8 i4 n( g/ J' \
social services
; N/ E* p$ I5 |- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies* ?/ g1 Z5 S* ?2 _1 ?4 ?
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
# w( u5 t+ @$ Y6 }: x- update ASSIST website
# L; B! m$ s2 d% n# Z z- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
7 V8 M' Z; J8 M: \5 ?- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
: v! l! h; j7 v! L0 ?1 c0 ]- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
4 w3 p+ V4 R, ^% N2 a- update membership database
8 A' t4 r: E& Z% X, }- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
% K6 D/ y: H1 f' I' _- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
8 j1 r) n" g$ o! y: a" f! F experience and education 5 O' {5 O q7 q- b; R3 |. N6 Y* r
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
& j1 m- D) M; l5 D8 ^- experience in community work and immigrant services( F% d' h! d! h6 |+ r6 ~! Z% W
- experience in website update/design- P- `) K" f O& ?
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
3 i& f6 ?: M6 L9 H3 Z" J8 d" N; p1 D7 q, }: J/ @) L
