Position title: Community Development Worker
x) h" G6 Z6 K z* ^$ YTerm: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to / X: L8 {0 V4 c- W
provide services for Chinese community0 E$ l1 o3 K# K8 y; g
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
: U" ^9 n+ Z, Q* E: I1 q/ V9 L access to mainstream services
8 `4 }" o8 u) ]# v( s- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
! Z4 q3 L9 i- E) w$ B social services
! K- h2 P; E9 x- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
. M# j& l% S6 N# F7 U- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time5 B4 s& p/ F/ Z

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of $ K# w- D8 o I/ E3 I
experience and education

$ H% u: _) l1 G7 C I- experience in community work and immigrant services7 O4 s2 i. d, S# |; H: U
- experience in website update/design& y1 `; z( s% ]% S
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
