Position title: Community Development Worker

provide services for Chinese community3 y# n- h' g! j" C+ J
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
9 j) w. o4 s, `8 t access to mainstream services
2 L. v) k8 y+ M! ]- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 6 C4 o3 Z8 v5 K) @
social services0 @! \5 D+ j% f$ B/ w
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
: p% M+ L, W! d) j; T' }1 S- V% v- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
" a' U5 F _: f$ |/ j% I" d; N' e- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
+ u4 |2 L, G; d% W$ o experience and education 5 L1 T- b8 G; u5 u' \0 b l# _
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
% v: v$ X+ ?$ `/ {( X0 Z- experience in community work and immigrant services
6 ]+ a8 R+ k- Q' L+ d- experience in website update/design0 f& G( f" b! [3 p/ i
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
5 w6 B) b$ e9 i! R2 h: q% \& b) p, u& z4 G
