Position title: Community Development Worker
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

# N: T* `8 f- S7 X" C-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
        provide services for Chinese community
7 ?$ _7 v* x7 X# P+ R8 u9 s0 }2 g-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
1 ]1 J8 w$ {2 K- Q$ a$ }* {9 _' i        access to mainstream services
-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
1 m2 V! Y! m: o/ k. K1 P/ |        social services
* E' s- w- ~, d/ t-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
5 y# T$ p+ Z1 _" b/ F" m! e-        update ASSIST website
* C2 o* M0 ^# K/ [$ S% d. m; L-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
# B7 j; L% y/ Y7 [8 e' @        experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
2 L; \' E- \9 l-        experience in community work and immigrant services
6 C* A& a! u: H-        experience in website update/design
2 `& k/ k& x  y-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
