Position title: Community Development Worker

- P0 X4 V. t+ V+ l9 q3 W" \' j% b2 r- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
4 Z9 [. b t1 E8 a4 C+ u6 H# K5 @ provide services for Chinese community) [: s T% E; v; G# x
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
, A! Q/ d" `9 i access to mainstream services
% i& x' K/ u7 a. y, D! _ I" a- w- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 7 D4 O5 w6 H1 }7 \# [$ R
social services! t8 p$ H# V+ J6 N3 W- y
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies% L" x6 u9 R4 o$ p; l1 n; A1 w
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
' a# F/ g& p% {4 t5 J4 i- update ASSIST website4 @4 y) A1 ]& z3 O$ h+ z4 m$ U
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre. ~& A0 Z7 @! M& T
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
0 n! ` M0 w" D( C- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
$ P% U* c* f8 C$ d6 B' c experience and education ' ^& }1 `' k( F
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills/ U6 R2 k. D2 I& Q8 S
- experience in community work and immigrant services
3 J; H0 C: a3 }/ _, v* G- experience in website update/design2 E; E2 E& g# P4 o" J" G
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset9 W3 s8 V( v: W0 r5 J6 `" J( a9 m
