Position title: Community Development Worker

0 {4 q* }* t, t& p7 n6 J) M1 [-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
        provide services for Chinese community
" B# @% ^) a+ c/ Q7 B! |; l" ?-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
        access to mainstream services
7 R) Q7 q9 \* h/ F- [" }: j-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
        social services
# N* f! F& J4 m, ]% T/ R: o; _-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
5 z$ ^% X) }/ O$ O8 a5 y-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-        update ASSIST website
" @9 q7 t4 {8 b; ]-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
0 b. H' i- r$ u7 m7 R-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
/ o# {1 e5 x- e3 H: O) T! t) j-        update membership database
& V3 ]5 c3 P  H! k/ P6 Z-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
        experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
: Q7 Q/ d  G0 G9 L2 u0 K" S-        experience in community work and immigrant services
' d5 {- Q4 t0 j( ^8 @-        experience in website update/design
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
