Position title: Community Development Worker
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

# P) ]; Y4 O/ x5 `; k-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
        provide services for Chinese community
, J, @3 ]+ [; ?& \- F-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
        access to mainstream services
# c6 \- ]) p- Q# J: V-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
        social services
-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
' U) e( S; W4 f! r+ N" u4 b4 N-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-        update ASSIST website
% m4 Q! x  S/ T5 b! z1 C% h7 F-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

" K" U; m# t* \* i% I* m  ~-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
* l5 a. D3 w6 y5 x$ F% w; S-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
        experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
% l& b6 K6 ]8 g+ m5 {& k% g-        experience in community work and immigrant services
-        experience in website update/design
! {3 v9 X3 E, b  E& ?-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
