- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to ( n7 u9 Y+ I/ o' E w6 Y6 c( P
provide services for Chinese community
+ K) [( b1 k. C4 g5 Z- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
. B P8 B5 k3 y& ?: s6 p6 f access to mainstream services
/ ^ H# `% D3 `2 }( t) p0 |- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 1 F: j* n# @. r* k
social services+ b9 T+ h6 E; Q6 a) p
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
+ k3 y8 V9 ?" d% l. m- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members5 F3 _3 s% a7 _9 _
- update ASSIST website

- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- update membership database5 D$ [ q/ c1 g9 u1 ]8 A8 \
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications |2 `+ L+ w4 B X' }% l! P$ Z: D `
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 6 N9 ^1 b4 M. ^$ d: W7 P D
experience and education
3 B W4 y+ g' l9 n- good oral and written Chinese and English skills3 f$ S1 ~% |% ?2 H9 l# s. z
- experience in community work and immigrant services6 T: A1 A5 d- ]" n2 |* @5 i
- experience in website update/design
( Q* W% z$ S+ i$ d- L" ]- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset: D. J- u$ u# @, I
