Position title: Community Development Worker
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
0 j7 @/ F4 ^& {7 {% {        provide services for Chinese community
-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
  b* V- c8 j2 y! i. F        access to mainstream services
; A. f, n: }" q: q-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
        social services
-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
- A7 }3 b) r+ L9 b  K4 }! Y8 G. g-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
3 j0 E3 K+ H7 |5 F% j1 U9 k; N-        update ASSIST website
-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
-        update membership database
-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
2 w* I2 v0 N: q; O/ s: J" i2 E        experience and education
9 z1 s9 C9 m7 y. w8 N-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-        experience in community work and immigrant services
, Z2 T$ Y: K; a$ g+ j$ ]- u-        experience in website update/design
2 G8 i! i/ l) k-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
