Position title: Community Development Worker

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population e# s2 e7 ~2 J2 V
access to mainstream services. H8 s P7 Q9 ]0 A7 a4 _3 x9 ^; P
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
' }, }* s: R5 O5 A: ~ q& Q social services2 ?0 E! b Z0 @ S# L0 v
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies9 }. a+ [) T/ U0 i! p% p: i
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

6 F, ^) m" @% i7 D; t" _- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
6 l8 \% ^% a5 u+ f! j- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
2 @' ~- s0 i) J; P* \! ]" E/ F- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

3 F3 M, A, O, L& c8 ?- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
* t, X5 d3 ?* {5 V, Q9 R- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 9 g; t! W2 f) i. u; {
experience and education Q3 v9 R1 ^5 s9 a3 \
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills- _6 R2 r6 h# w. W& a
- experience in community work and immigrant services( V) g$ O% m- |2 m6 n! ]( G* a
- experience in website update/design
+ Z; w, T: y. K/ ?0 I/ p- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
