Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
4 n3 P& K, l* u. }+ B& b8 D provide services for Chinese community
7 E; O/ R* v! Y7 _/ d- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
& Y# f. Q9 t% V- y access to mainstream services
! g1 W- I( d: Z# j9 |/ Y4 g$ c+ t- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
* E9 h' U' \( ]' k social services
/ x$ {' t+ Z2 ?# b# G- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies$ Y* s) v8 d! R# y8 h- F
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members+ r: ^+ a$ s3 m' }
- update ASSIST website
% F5 Y/ E" G: |# c& g [- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre4 v, ~. |4 c8 R, `
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services3 R+ y: p4 P) t% O. H s- a. X
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time# m; f! R; T$ l# N; z2 s; i
- update membership database
4 B" f# h8 R; S- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
' l+ q0 ]% Q. v" c& ~- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
- g- v0 R7 q2 U( ]: B( F5 W experience and education
' N( M$ _# z" X- j- good oral and written Chinese and English skills+ [% X. u f) @0 R
- experience in community work and immigrant services
L7 [3 G% ?4 o0 Y% P& b- experience in website update/design
$ i. `5 k0 `7 e- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
