Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
5 A F! V5 U9 I8 ? provide services for Chinese community
( w: A- e& e b$ c# k/ ~% l- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 1 F W; R; C! K0 i/ N! ? y* r6 |
access to mainstream services
8 O! O+ p% h, d, g9 P- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 5 Y' \' j* a: J$ B/ q& r0 X
social services) ^7 ~, }# G, K8 m
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
- r8 _) ]& s* J5 Z- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
& o3 X6 P& ]/ W# O6 Z- update ASSIST website2 v+ f! D& l2 I% E$ C0 r m7 g% z" {
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
( @: h& }; X$ d( q) y$ s- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
$ u' M' r2 D% q! k- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications+ k& J: ?4 R" t$ p n/ [/ t0 M
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
& C2 L5 h7 H" Q4 d/ @( d3 ] experience and education
$ K2 \; O4 ?0 Y0 Y# Y" c5 g% S# _! f' h- good oral and written Chinese and English skills/ ]* p* ~" g2 W; _
- experience in community work and immigrant services+ W8 B) n8 v/ C8 ~% `3 t+ X
- experience in website update/design
) ^6 S9 Y* a0 I- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
