Position title: Community Development Worker
; i( U' `& A3 a' C B0 JTerm: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to % G' G( h. J* s# a: e$ i; P
provide services for Chinese community. o9 w+ H/ S. X/ J0 d' J
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population , I3 Y! b& v, x M _4 L" I
access to mainstream services5 P$ Y# {$ a9 w9 }9 Q& N# B
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
& O0 h8 I- r1 U social services
: x9 Z( V' n: A" S# t- i$ ~0 Z/ s- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
+ c* E& P' f7 y' K* q5 z- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
; n" v9 V# P% P' c8 p3 g1 z2 W+ {1 }- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services- Z) b. J( S5 n: q4 Z9 a
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications
: V+ M$ w9 l6 ~" ?- ?- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
7 G! P. q% Y9 g- E- w1 u# p experience and education
. f$ N6 ^# n8 K6 z9 f+ ]) Q- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
, w ~" D: I; f) b- experience in community work and immigrant services) v! i% ~- \4 W
- experience in website update/design
' n7 H# }1 G1 Y4 B, ^- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
