Job Description
( g1 P$ l( B- ?4 p- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
$ F9 n( M1 P7 q* `9 n1 l' D provide services for Chinese community
/ \2 F: Z' e+ P! |3 x+ F- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population ; G2 @ ^! }4 j3 W! p
access to mainstream services
* y' n& c# |0 U- Q |9 `7 w" E- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
6 x" A: r5 s) k6 o social services
* @5 F+ T7 h5 C4 V( a7 a- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies" s" D H$ k, O" F" L
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
% s$ k* ?5 n$ Z$ K$ } r3 V6 M7 O/ J- update ASSIST website
6 G# s5 R0 K: y' |- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre- V7 A) I6 E- \ W3 d
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services- X- g5 w; O1 y# m/ p
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time+ g4 G5 s- A5 A8 m; R3 y0 y
- update membership database
5 w# O: a! F& T1 u) P8 S- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
8 M7 Q, N9 w1 l5 r; Y- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
8 k; C" W0 O, f* X8 s experience and education ! o+ R7 @1 X4 a. m+ a! A: C
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills8 W( d7 f/ Y- q( x2 c& J
- experience in community work and immigrant services
; ]9 g" H+ p! F- experience in website update/design9 m) B1 u0 K' a; u8 F. K6 Z2 k8 H
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset& s& U D4 R3 ^3 H5 M
