- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
" |8 `. p9 R4 u4 z- F8 n' [ provide services for Chinese community9 i5 i& l. ^- c* D& J; D1 g
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 3 G1 x( U$ ^+ P2 u- ~5 M8 @
access to mainstream services( {. V Z# c2 o% h |
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
Y; G7 E" {) _- v6 K social services
7 }2 Q. W* c5 _6 d4 C8 F' ?; h9 l- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies- Y2 y0 O! m7 B; i5 y4 D
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members3 G. u K( a9 W6 l
- update ASSIST website, ^" z! @3 w" w3 B$ A
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre$ A; f3 @ \& _
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services# s' d" M9 v e7 y4 c
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

' Z- m% y2 W" ^3 q2 x9 z- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
# N, I: I1 @; x5 |6 p experience and education
. E4 B0 H& W! D* X: z- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
$ ?2 u, s* R; l. g9 S- experience in community work and immigrant services
" K9 K* \3 n% Z5 H2 v+ w- experience in website update/design6 ~6 b5 W; ~! _8 d, u
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
