Position title: Community Development Worker

/ w. r2 t' {( P4 k" m- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to |1 W8 F5 f; F& l7 j
provide services for Chinese community% x& {0 `# T) e, J
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
* I' S! f N9 X) a+ C access to mainstream services$ L- Q. j9 U, t3 h/ ]; p# g# r J
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
: D* u f9 p. H* x, `, L: H6 t$ r social services
7 W! ]4 f/ m+ h+ q) j" Y% ^6 W- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies" N7 h: v( z4 h& y9 O
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members6 _ @) g* R' Y
- update ASSIST website4 X5 @' }) v4 R3 i0 @7 o
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre/ x$ J# k }7 f& a/ H* P
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services% m# @, M) O& ~, |
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

2 }3 a7 i7 M7 j; G1 g- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
b S8 c; f6 ~4 u$ N! r experience and education
7 X4 C8 Z; i0 y' g6 o; i$ A; d- good oral and written Chinese and English skills1 E; f3 y2 `; L H
- experience in community work and immigrant services
0 z& X" `2 H5 t4 U& l- experience in website update/design
