Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)7 D- c) @0 Z6 W* x

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to % M( B4 |8 Q+ J& U/ E
provide services for Chinese community5 g) o. E& Y3 Z2 v
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
1 Y, X6 i$ U0 r2 _1 K6 R+ ] access to mainstream services; g. Z0 V6 U4 O+ A0 t/ J' h. J4 ^
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 7 M6 Z; l4 k# a& d
social services7 c& U/ u% Z, @) f
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies( `" V9 C s& b+ y1 R+ U, d3 ?
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
7 L9 o; r* X( }5 s1 m- update ASSIST website
U. f" s4 `5 l& q- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre- `1 J1 i$ |# O1 n
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services7 K# W6 Q8 }7 k/ F" y3 }1 Y
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

0 U) H1 r6 \+ d( q1 C+ f* Q- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
0 L& ` G J* {6 K8 l* a/ U- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
b; G; W; W- g! l" V! x# ~ experience and education # g1 q& h! U' Z# e
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
+ g8 T: s& S8 d% ?- v; B: X- experience in community work and immigrant services
/ n$ R& R( d& ^' E& Z- experience in website update/design; y& w3 P4 F. i
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset y- F3 F" \' R( S
+ B* g' a9 B% ?
