Job Description

( d! r5 c6 w8 e% Z& Y) U; Z, W provide services for Chinese community
* f+ g8 ]5 I+ q1 @9 z$ @- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
# A( J3 |9 n( w1 O access to mainstream services
' b5 @% U; o# n3 i! V A- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
) z, u' j5 Q2 O7 K& K social services
+ q: n( w) Y) h- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies z1 u5 x4 A* w3 N- o" Z3 I6 G
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members8 z; p6 K( j. ?' B) L/ j: B- n/ M
- update ASSIST website
- n0 Y3 Y" N2 B6 S- b# T- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre8 O6 o4 K9 e4 _3 p$ r; q% }
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services- w K# b. n) t8 c
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

& v! Y7 _6 P. l; e8 h- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)" j- K% ^; Z$ ~0 i

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
) N0 ^7 _: M& d r8 D% m& S2 N experience and education 7 q$ n5 x7 Y: l9 k
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
) h) _( U* R! g; {- experience in community work and immigrant services5 Q; a$ H( @$ T& ]
- experience in website update/design
6 m) r4 w9 p) N* r- Q- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
