Job Description
6 K$ l; k+ |8 c- ?) g/ Q- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
1 a/ z( }" u+ ]4 D/ P2 e. I! O provide services for Chinese community+ j( F# I( a4 N2 h
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population . N; ]$ S( u5 h% B5 V6 n& `
access to mainstream services& x6 e. Z6 R5 p2 r5 K
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
! s0 C: A0 G' G6 C& z social services* l) D7 ?+ K: [3 q, W' _
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
$ i/ |4 @8 w, T: Z. O* S- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members# P) L4 `7 V1 }' Z3 o o) ~9 ~
- update ASSIST website
9 t! G! }/ |( s/ M6 Y- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre/ j* f% M r, W# c' ?- e
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
/ e1 p( l: v: I' ]0 t- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time, _, D+ j/ N& T: S4 \
- update membership database
& A# K- ]. T! `7 [* }- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 4 v! e0 V2 }3 r& W8 X" {. N
experience and education * q+ U6 U5 _0 v
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
/ R+ \% b! \6 T$ o# a6 h- experience in community work and immigrant services
" t; _$ m+ k0 g& ]0 G' k- experience in website update/design' a2 p" R# t5 U
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
