Position title: Community Development Worker
2 i" ?: [1 o+ Y! ~5 ETerm: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)
, t% p! n/ P& K, y+ FJob Description
-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
        provide services for Chinese community
-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
1 y' t! F6 {9 X& d/ k. j& w8 {        access to mainstream services
-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
; q/ Z7 j9 r" t        social services
-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-        update ASSIST website
6 P+ K9 o/ D: r-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
/ T$ H  i) p+ q-        update membership database
- M1 C! }& K  B5 V% I-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
  \$ ?3 f- Y' e% X! Q+ v-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
        experience and education
) k* h$ M- k+ ?& b# W, _-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
0 m4 P1 V+ @6 E- f! q-        experience in community work and immigrant services
-        experience in website update/design
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
