Position title: Community Development Worker
2 e- J) s6 s; M5 n. O: `" mTerm: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
        provide services for Chinese community
-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
& [" U  F- E5 w5 ?5 v4 ?        access to mainstream services
-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
0 v7 J* d6 H! L' V# Q        social services
8 w3 J# x" ^) l4 g- @' o2 ^-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
  G8 C8 c' G5 d. E- z6 {-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-        update ASSIST website
% N* q5 {* c- _* B0 N8 g2 s-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
0 t: i' e" C6 F5 O5 V  [-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

& Q7 A$ I/ O0 a( y9 z-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

3 I. }: L0 q% ]Qualifications
-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
5 ?& _1 c% z$ E: I; B7 |! }& Z        experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
: j, W& b0 f: k/ u  r5 F1 q-        experience in community work and immigrant services
" B0 {+ ^5 l! P. Y  c6 M-        experience in website update/design
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
