Job Description
/ ?4 |4 u4 c' ~: e' U- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
- m* e6 d8 _# F% w' q( o9 X provide services for Chinese community+ i1 s2 J. c" x2 h# T: L
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population * D# B/ J- M8 R( _ ~
access to mainstream services& @5 C+ m1 ^; I
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
- U8 L9 O4 ~+ @ social services
1 @6 \" |! D: b2 L6 T8 }5 v- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
( _: N$ O3 {5 D- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members( e: \ B8 E2 m$ M9 I
- update ASSIST website+ ^6 [# f0 q, Z: Y6 L0 F. J
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre" n( k# Y9 s' y
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
! ]. m( E4 w& Y8 H' O8 `: h C- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of

- good oral and written Chinese and English skills: C; k* u( |. p* V* J
- experience in community work and immigrant services
2 M8 ^( v# N" E# |8 W- experience in website update/design' o% k }. [; @- f+ X# g* ~% x
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset7 w0 E B- H& Q0 ?4 ~( Z! M6 o8 h2 s
