Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
. o' N# c$ B. W8 z7 \ provide services for Chinese community' j- w+ c; g3 W M$ r
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
7 F7 x( H. _( @) \ access to mainstream services
* @$ k3 x; v* Q8 L% V9 J$ J- t2 u/ T; k- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 6 x* L6 `4 K. {; d
social services$ \ Z* c4 {; z! W' j8 g8 t0 m
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
% U# |. G6 e i- [- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
% l/ |* [/ R7 h& x6 m2 R3 w- update ASSIST website
. N* Z8 w x# S: s- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre% N! [& p Q: C+ d
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- update membership database

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of

- good oral and written Chinese and English skills. G* [( w* X3 n
- experience in community work and immigrant services/ N2 W& V9 Y& N- Q% h5 l
- experience in website update/design
