Position title: Community Development Worker
- g" }# P8 m* Q" {; x5 MTerm: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

provide services for Chinese community; w. H) t: J- L) _* y
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
: X' w( @) I* e t% S. V. h access to mainstream services
6 V! b" s, E: w8 t0 `- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
+ D* J. S& i0 {( L. G2 ~ social services2 r2 a0 n" w+ k( o, h7 i/ U
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies$ J D2 X+ Z$ K3 M7 F7 r
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members0 g5 r- q3 N1 M e& i! K A& }& W
- update ASSIST website5 Y* `+ b: E5 i3 L0 Q5 V
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
* |2 ]4 A( ?" r. c. o: ^! d- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services7 B; [* `* z, L, }( r- V# L
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time' r! j3 [) L7 h4 g' n
- update membership database

Qualifications
2 O( f# x. s7 ]$ D- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 3 P9 v. V5 }! O7 S: Y3 }
experience and education 6 q e W7 z z) H7 d3 X$ \2 S
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills0 [# b/ i& e X6 V
- experience in community work and immigrant services
% i' _0 g& Y' }- Z4 d- experience in website update/design
% |/ k U5 c5 u( p5 H9 I- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset6 V' G5 i8 w( f, }' D( Z: T8 ]7 V( v
