Job Description
2 N* y& S# i1 I* {- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to ) b, `7 K [7 I: q( w# n
provide services for Chinese community
* }: u4 u# G+ k1 d5 i( Y. p- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
5 G: m7 e% C( |" ?8 l+ S access to mainstream services5 h3 M! y9 o( r7 F' w8 c; }- G
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
8 m5 g8 [: p* n4 O: ]% h: [ social services$ i+ K) e! s! }1 t: n
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies" d8 d1 o3 [2 K
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members& E7 n' {5 L- B# _9 ]2 N
- update ASSIST website
/ ]3 D) r( _- p0 z0 f- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre q7 u6 }' I8 T! B, E" e$ Z
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
; h3 w: K) V! D- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

0 g0 P( k6 c. N7 a- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of + ^, L9 _7 `/ c1 ^. J7 s- c
experience and education
) w/ Z; D& u7 H" M- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
+ K2 f& E0 B( u: ?# g% k9 s9 |9 L- experience in community work and immigrant services
5 E- @% }$ l% U& R/ J/ L. \- experience in website update/design
4 Q3 g& x( o |6 {; s+ ]+ D- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
