Responsibilities:
) N- g! ^9 v' J/ Q6 {- S/ O; L- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program # v# k+ u+ B+ x6 ?* z7 t
(ages 6 to 15)

- Recruit volunteers for summer programs% r9 x% A) f, i1 f
- Record keeping
# ^0 R4 m4 V2 b- Provide orientation for parents
" a& ` f1 }& q. X- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
+ X4 j( X3 c2 o4 G- [: M$ R: P- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

7 U W5 Q/ {* K) X" TQualifications:" z% T. O- Y& f3 X' ]
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
% D" k' W5 P* q) S5 v7 g2 b2 B* X& h- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
/ \# `$ m# j! P6 I- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
. Y% e$ l: n( |+ y- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities

- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities

- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense( F; `, E+ C% N- d7 X2 i

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)
! z5 z% r6 V0 {( x4 g and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
