Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

9 j6 {6 r/ s- k& I5 m- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
# V6 t: N) }7 b( h; i. u7 @& A9 l: B (ages 6 to 15)
" E# |: G1 \# E0 c8 L7 _5 u- Recruit children for summer programs
) l y& c9 l1 u: `) @" a- Recruit volunteers for summer programs, Z6 x" V# p* E& d0 p
- Record keeping; ~( n# P8 u8 _' `& |/ X
- Provide orientation for parents
5 ?3 e# B" m1 W; q3 l- j2 u$ E- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency# w2 G; j% s" k* _+ q! o Y
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
% `" q5 r1 `3 J$ h# a" B- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education% ] u( p# U, }) I
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
* O% I* {0 X/ Z2 `/ y6 Y: c0 E- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
: {9 K& N" q4 g. ]- }) m0 J1 H- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- o. j! q2 T0 Z- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
3 n- A2 G$ Z5 D" Z! y+ W" R- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
# n! U' t+ g' M; N- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

2 o- l! D# G2 n x- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) 9 N. O1 t0 b, Y- b
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)2 V! g8 t( S4 v. Y: l! A/ ?
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
