Duties
3 L% y6 u$ n# C7 H: O9 w
    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
8 ?' T8 F: [# a; I+ \& g    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
/ ^& u' c6 Z* s* Q. x3 P( f    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications

/ W4 v/ u3 g1 H3 }/ {1 ^    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

    i think you misunderstood the meaning of GC-MS. It is not GM, it's about chemstry analysis.oh, my god!

Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
( b- ]! P+ N$ c7 o" K* r/ o7 z7 Bwage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

7 X  h8 V  i: P7 D: e- `* Oti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
