. e7 H/ l [. a8 V+ M * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications! r4 S8 `6 D3 I: s+ e% Z! }" O$ Z
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis8 s% d5 f# [ @ j# h; ?
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance- g; e: e2 s: ?" o
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
^ r7 f$ j( M7 H) ^: V) S- G7 R * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies( @( T: w/ o+ q: u6 W
* Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs. `7 F% I" U8 R
* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment- R8 J# \. q* @% I. ~+ R

Qualifications

* Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required
