Duties
- J# k* p' f/ z3 w% K3 N" F
) D/ @! p0 c7 y9 E    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
1 x, I  u8 y% I) G    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
+ R, j1 ^6 g$ R/ G+ {2 G    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
" q" g' \1 o7 r5 Z* R    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs

Qualifications

/ Z. D9 S- \4 D' l    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
) Q- l5 x/ s1 F$ R2 e! h    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

  V/ E0 A1 |6 c本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

: N4 Q9 K6 S; p. M0 g好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

    i think you misunderstood the meaning of GC-MS. It is not GM, it's about chemstry analysis.oh, my god!

  k/ H" G6 U# W) p/ b. qSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.
' W* H* _6 V, U& U9 ^! d
ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
