: L$ A+ }3 F' J. Z) P1 K * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications

* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
" X( t( l' i+ _3 W6 O+ t * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
U3 k7 {6 h/ E+ o6 W * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications
- H+ {9 u& R: k# ^( L8 a v8 g; ?" y- a8 b' I8 K& \1 Q8 M
* Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
7 a# o$ x% g2 z2 l1 q' A% p * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required
