6 _. B w: K+ ^ * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications, h6 C# {, O7 z; z6 \0 f* ?6 p9 I: J
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
! d: I+ G7 g, n/ b8 L5 f1 Q0 q * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
* I# B' b* i. e6 s" K* _: D * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
' i( L! ~; r7 m3 j1 I1 E- B * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies5 [& F1 \8 H+ J9 H; D6 z6 r
* Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs! y, f5 I% D8 @
* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment, \4 p. S6 B3 u
