    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
& T; r: r  t0 M: m, A! C    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
( Y" }2 d& f- l1 v0 n2 y    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
0 M0 H) M  ?% M" C1 g* n    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
! G3 Q1 ]7 _! v  o+ e    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
9 h) T5 X1 s, F* |" U/ C8 g8 q+ [    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
" D# S4 `- z* R& L* J& j    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

5 b2 v6 l7 P; x/ T( T; B好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.
