Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
: E' x6 O, j) [0 w# ?, OResponsibilities:
0 Y! x4 p& p4 m# O5 b- Organize focus group(s)
! D% u; G! ]2 U/ r  }5 p& G- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
! o2 e; M; G# F' V. ^5 m& k- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:
& ]9 _9 z- X' G$ O1 p. t
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
% l* V% [/ k/ t1 `- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
8 Q- J$ s# B0 R- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
