what do you think of the MBA program in UA?
! J$ R; S5 q0 p; [7 CTaking all around situations into account, I wanna apply for MBA in UA for the Sep, 2010.
Can you help me confirm approximately  the total money that I will afford for MBA in UA based on http://www.business.ualberta.ca/mba/Admissions/Costs_Expenses.htm, which depicts that the total tuition for internatonal are $12,029.69 along with the Living Expenses of $2,035 per month.
" q- l3 q1 R$ m2 {' G8 l/ KAs for the current approximately exchange of one Canadian dollar vs 5.5 RMB, and the MBA in UA is 16 months.
$ a* Z  D$ J' Q' J! F6 LSo I wanna let you the guys in UA or ones living in Edmonton confirm that 300,000 RMB can be very adequatel for me to finish the MBA?
% d% l6 y9 z* u2 S( s* d4 Oand at least how much money I will prepare for the MBA in UA incluing tuition and living expense without considering the Schorship or TA,etc.

PS； 我西安人，希望大家能给我点帮助，我已经在一家还算不错并且没太受危机影响的美国公司有近两年的工作经验了。不过我在国内这边的分部。

The tuition for a Canadian student is $12,029.69 per year.  For an International Student, you should plus International Student Differential Fee $5,985.60,  International MBA Differential Fee $5,505.30. Total tuition for an  International student per year is $23,729.74.

& f& c6 d8 T- yThe above is based on 15 credits per term, which means the expense $23,729.74 is for 30 credits. If you want to finish the required 57 credits, the tuition should be more than $40,000 for the MBA program.

0 A& O/ g4 Q5 b7 h; qbut I am eager to bother you for the question I care, which is, in your view,  whether I finish the MBA with 30,000RMB including the living expense.
% H/ J7 x# W  n$ v* B9 QPS: I can sustain the tougher living conditions and food, and I will endeavor to apply for schorship or TA,etc if there is any for the candidate like me to be eligible to apply for  and take some part-time job if there is any.

楼主说的是英式英语吗？ 感觉有点古文的味道，读起来不太自然啊，加拿大人好像很少这么说，嘻嘻。

# Q% p, a& u% G' S! g30，000RMB 是不可能的，3万加币也不够，MBA的学费数倍于普通学科，还不算国际学生费。还有MBA的学生好像不容易做TA吧，别的基础学科的奖学金好拿，MBA的奖学金不容易吧，有没有都是一回事。
我认为一年所有费用18万人民币是较省的，23万算ok的。

我说的4万加元只是学费，而且是你每门考试都要及格的情况下。考试不及格，重修的话，还要加钱。生活费２万加元，其他开支１万加元，总共准备７万加元吧。没听说过有TA or RA, 奖学金很少，忽略不计。40万人民币差不多。

呵呵是英式英文吗？那我需要改进把，我觉得我还挺美国的呢，主要是我口语基本上美国人一样把，原来还兼职带过课。我也不算大，07年才大学毕业的，市场营销专业，但是基本上进美国这个算500强的公司就是凭借的一口美语和性格把。

40万是有点多了，想着现在危机汇率低能省点钱，不去Rodman,Ivy,SB等就是因为那学费更贵把。因为我很喜欢交流或者辩论，喜欢说话，所以想读MBA,到明年6月合同到期的时候我就工作三年了，读MBA也是自己的一个目标把，我觉得UA的还蛮OK啊，相对还比较便宜，但是要40万的话，需要慎重了，呵呵不过谢谢你们了。

# Z: i9 A5 T( i, W; B8 W+ R1 M; _对了那你说像我这样的还能读什么呢，除了MBA这个高学费的外的加拿大的硕士专业呢？

呵呵不管怎么样我下个月就先把雅思考了，10月把GMAT考了，在大学的时候就考过两次雅思，本来说是要一毕业就来的，但是没工作经验诶，这不一下就快两年了，呵呵。雅思两年，GMAT5年的有效期，所以管用的时间段还都蛮久的。

$ o, D/ \" Z9 Q2 ^* O' G9 h呵呵真的很想和你们一样哦，去自己奋斗，真的很想和你们一样。其实我性格真的蛮出去的，很多都这样说。
所以当下我要做的就是珍惜每一天，改变自己，机会总是留给有准备的人！

楼主学文学理? 真的不建议你去学MBA, 没用不说,学费太贵. 你要不是管理层,拿着MBA去面试也没用,因为MBA对不是管理层的人一文不值.就好像你不是大学教授便要学个经济博士后一样.
( ]. E$ B" l9 {( V2 D! @" Q建议学学其他专业的硕士,学费便宜的说.当然本地人更便宜.
楼主做市场营销的专业很难选啊!

恩你说对了，我看了半年加拿大的大学，好像针对商科的MBA，除了MBA意外，就是MSc了，但是这也蛮少了，刚看了个Manitoba大学有这个，哎其实啊，我也知道，这年头你学啥，到最后找工作看的是：地道的语言，你的整体素质，一定的经验和你的一定的文凭。其实我很想去加拿大，因为哥们在温哥华，但是我要移民去的话基本上太难了，所以就想留学去，但是这专业适合我的真的好少！
PS：其实我美语和美国人基本上差的不是很远，希望能和播音员一样呵呵，哎，老远的路，然后在学会法语把，虽然不像法国那么地道的，但是去了魁北克的话，我看那的MacGill或者Concordia学费也不便宜，商科专业也不多。哎我比较不是学计算机的，在我们这个IT公司没啥太大的发展！

对了manitoba估计胡冷把？
还有如果在那边读研，即使是一年的MBA（比如ivy)毕业后都能工作三年把，然后移民对吗？

well, Immigration after MBA study, emm....   you have lots of staff to deal with.
& K4 a2 t2 X1 N$ ]+ [4 aIn order to get 3 years open working permit, you have to graduate in Canadian University and be a full time student  of  last 3 years.  same as above, you can have 2 yrs permit if you are full time student for at least 2 years, however less than 2 yrs, you get nothing related to post graduate working permit. therefore, apply this rule to you MBA study, and check out what the hack's going on. good luck

PS:  in order to enroll into a MSc degree, you gonna need a BSc degree, science school will not accept an art student.
and Manitoba is  crazy cold, take care.....

I feel I would apply for MSc not MBA after considering the length of program, the function of program, and immigration policy like you articulated above, fee,etc.
