A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.; U3 V) o; K! ^
This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and

' F5 u( f6 Z% ~3 J" d4 @& GThe program includes the following elements:
- M. [, A3 U8 Q8 B! Q- `# J• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)/ D$ k3 c0 T' b# y e F4 R d
• Standard Child Care First Aid# q! X" i' w, _: P1 Y" V
• WHMIS; r2 W; B- m% P3 W1 g# E4 u8 F
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
% C2 e- x/ ]1 k4 c D! ]; H8 W7 _7 Z• Components to improve communication skills
4 m2 T* p$ J7 w" r• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search

Eligibility Criteria3 @' P+ G- c0 ~8 s" x. ~" P
• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
6 l9 R2 i! d3 j. a$ f- Q8 Kof Canada& d9 j4 j3 q- _- [8 o
• have a Social Insurance Number, P4 m. g5 u: v* K( c3 s
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check% Q6 J+ {$ _! j. C
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
5 g+ s# N" A& W' E- }; F0 s• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:

• meet the financial eligibility criteria
