A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.* e0 u8 r, h8 u+ ]
This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and9 S% `$ Z+ C7 i/ K3 s
knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.4 _* T: o6 y4 n
The program includes the following elements:
9 O, l1 j7 T# |% }. I• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)
; N3 ]4 q! M% ]1 L3 L0 y# o r• Standard Child Care First Aid. L7 M+ P9 b- [+ a
• WHMIS5 P) K' n8 |# U4 l4 N& W, a* D* L3 b
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care. y1 n3 k% x# X# r3 D& T: y
• Components to improve communication skills
/ ?/ s* {, L% G, I3 ?• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search

Eligibility Criteria
+ ^) P. B8 A+ x• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen- s- [* c- r; i/ F. I, S
of Canada% C0 y. ^/ k; H/ ?6 I& b" a
• have a Social Insurance Number/ i; C; g" `3 [" P! x
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
+ c3 z$ D7 Q/ _: X) N$ _• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent5 v: u! L. f5 v$ {% K, l i
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time* |- N! H0 [0 }+ N8 v
program

the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
