A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

The program includes the following elements:

• Standard Child Care First Aid; q! I: N. V& r! L, n5 w3 [' |" I+ I
• WHMIS1 S, ^5 l( L9 b
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care0 n' Y- Q0 {6 N/ [7 g' V
• Components to improve communication skills: e6 N5 n7 |# W+ T6 Y1 B; l4 J
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search

. e6 `9 P) x1 G% b( a \+ i1 J• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen: s8 @9 _. b6 X
of Canada- s& R8 X, F. _+ S n! e
• have a Social Insurance Number1 W! y; A2 l: X: x0 L
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check$ q3 ~# ]: D' K. V. Q4 b
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
( c7 X% X- d5 v! Z: q• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time8 F" U b( u8 n" r+ J6 I
program

They CANNOT quit their job to take the course" z- B/ A5 u% a' d7 d# k" z
