% k/ t' Z4 x" O4 D/ DThe contractors charged are the Compass Group of Canada, which ran the camps, and Rodney McCabe, whose now-defunct company operated the two wastewater plants.& f7 z. ^2 P2 v- g% \+ i/ n* O

The charges laid last year under Alberta's Environmental Protection Act include failing to properly treat wastewater and providing false or misleading information to the environment ministry.0 i* c* l- j/ V/ |9 H+ E& v

McCabe and Compass are refusing comment, but a Suncor spokesman says the sewage likely had very little impact on the water quality in the river.
