谢谢各位远方朋友!我觉得什么事情都是有得有失,决定了就一直往前看.

我问一下xing_gang朋友,你主要是搞高压那个 ...
/ S6 M6 n7 q" a' T9 aJust to remind you that it is NOT easy to find an Electrician job or an electrician apprenticeship job any more if you do not have a Canadian electrician license and your practical skills with you, and you could not join easy to join the union either without it.....

) {/ {) J+ n# |: EBecause two main reasons:0 \) W/ G: E6 P8 t- t
1 d' v! \$ l% @5 gThe current big recession makes lots electricians being laid-off everywhere in Canada, and basically there is very few jobs for electricians, and the worse part is that lots of non-skilled "electricians" from overseas working in oil Sands has a very Bad reputation in Alberta now.

So don't assume it is easier to find an electrician job than to find an electrical engineer job in Alberta, if not the same.3 Y" t4 @4 S$ _: k* B. y
( h* a3 R! N; |8 c+ i7 SMy advice to you: ; e; d1 e& L6 ~/ r- r0 b0 K& V' b7 N
( z1 _" D: |/ c9 w' bIf you are NOT good at English, it is not a good time to move to Canada, better to stay in China. I have seen so many frustrated peoples around. This is not a fair gambling, one will lose too much but gain a little.% G4 t- B5 W" T; g0 i, W# f
0 s, N# w& u+ \/ L3 u1 d% hIf you are confident with your English skills, please go for the Electrical Engineer License. It takes times, but you will be more satified and confident with your job later. I believe an Electrical Engineer of high voltage and power transmission is highly demand in Alberta.

, y% T; V, G# B- Q7 n8 TTo be an Electrical Engineer: first thing you have to apply for is: Engineer in Training program. You may need to bring with all necessary reference letters with your technical job descriptions from all your employers, an academic record from universities for sure, and you can prepare summaries for any relatived projects in your work for future evaluation.... go to the websit for more details: http://www.apegga.org/

If you do not have any problem with your finance and time, I would recommend you to apply electrical degree in local university like University of Alberta at the same time, it will definetely help you widen your knowledge and find a job eaier later. % Y+ o$ X& O" {
9 D! K% C) n1 |$ \; b7 _: `, UBut whether to be an electrician or to be an electrical engineer is your choice. An electrician job is not so bad comparing to an electrical engineer job, not like in China, an engineer always sounds a good position, this not always happens in Canada. 5 f; D5 n8 P# B$ q) K
$ x: |2 x9 {9 v1 }0 J4 o5 xThe important thing is that once you decide to be an electrician or to be an engineer, it will be your career,and it is NOT easy to turn around any more. An electrician can NOT afford to quit an electrician job then to apply for an engineer license later, the same to an engineer.... it takes lots of money and few years to be an electrician or an engineer. 7 i2 ^/ i1 _# s) r S: W$ o2 l& x
