% K2 w' D2 b. O7 m% I 1. All Albertans are responsible to pay premiums unless they qualify for premium assistance, government-sponsored income support programs, or are senior citizens.9 `$ }" z$ O2 N& ?) y% |& C9 D
2. Employers and benefit administrators who register and pay premiums on behalf of their employees will continue to do so.4 n7 l# w) y4 B' \% P0 [* n
3. Alberta Health and Wellness will continue to pursue collections from those who fail to pay premiums.2 q: f0 b6 m) P7 m5 u" ]6 k$ J* n
4. Contributors to Alberta Blue Cross or other supplementary insurance plans that provide prescription drug, dental, and other extended coverage, will still pay those premiums, as they have not been eliminated.+ W3 P7 j G5 u, X# a7 d; p
