4 N9 r9 d2 L! F: \7 Z% K( \) \; q4 @Payment and collection of health care premiums owed prior to January 1, 2009 will continue under these guidelines:

- B1 {+ G# ` ?7 ^# ~ 1. All Albertans are responsible to pay premiums unless they qualify for premium assistance, government-sponsored income support programs, or are senior citizens.; Y; Q# Q- q L7 p4 O& y# N
2. Employers and benefit administrators who register and pay premiums on behalf of their employees will continue to do so.
0 i6 ^; o$ Y2 P, F 3. Alberta Health and Wellness will continue to pursue collections from those who fail to pay premiums.
