Definition of Restricted Dog
# X" T, S4 a. Z- u2 B7 \The City of Edmonton Bylaw #13145 defines a "restricted dog" as any dog:

That has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal causing physical injury and resulting in a conviction under this bylaw + @1 O8 E- k- b, `2 u5 X1 c
That has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal on more than one occasion, with or without causing physical injury, and resulting in separate convictions under this bylaw
2 q$ r: R0 q0 FThat has been made the subject of an order under the Dangerous Dogs Act + ^' A0 \0 H4 R; q* s2 s1 G
Certified by an Alberta licenced veterinarian to be primarily of the breed Staffordshire Bull Terrier as that breed is defined by the Canadian Kennel Club + Z; T- X, A/ C
Certified by an Alberta licenced veterinarian to be primarily of the breed American Staffordshire Terrier as that breed is defined by the Canadian Kennel Club : ^0 L' e4 n, x% F3 M
Note: The restricted dog definition does NOT include any dog that is registered, or eligible for registration, with the Canadian Kennel Club as a purebred Staffordshire Bull Terrier or American Staffordshire Terrier. |
