0 n& _ e0 H2 ^7 `. s* e vRecently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few
6 y4 S/ G' U! H/ E9 lmonths. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. ) Y% Y# K$ N' r( F+ I
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at - m4 i( P' [" @% m {
least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount.

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face / _8 k' }! n$ [
of so much news. These reasons are:

potential per acre in some cases is astounding. Many countries are

5. Virtually every restaurant in the US and all food processing plants , c4 B/ o3 P7 u+ i
are now selling their used oil to bio-diesel producers. Every pork,
) e& q R9 U3 c) {cattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat
( J: p+ c' f' I2 ]* B5 _4 K dto bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is
- b" p' W) W$ k8 |: }producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat. 3 k! z Q- g- \% B& a# R: z( ~

1 N6 s) e6 i$ e n k6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and 2 _( p4 t, o! ^6 i1 ^
construction around the world at this time. Several hundred more are " W& H* j4 F; ]! l7 C9 w4 @
expected to be built in the future. Much of the energy they produce

7. Every company in any form of transportaion business is replacing

with new more fuel efficient equipment. Airlines and railway companies
8 k' R; h3 R& Z/ x- p$ iare experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new 5 H/ S, X- |# ~* ]' G# ~! j) i0 d

fuel is cleaner and performs better than jet fuel.

capture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas
* [3 D* m+ z7 t$ s6 s" eavailable at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude , W5 s. F9 H5 b- r7 K
oil. % a. Z3 F& j2 s4 A
) ]# o6 H$ M$ M9 _7 V' L3 M# j7 v
4 L/ M2 x6 I' r6 _2 V' H. p% K9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2 # F( T' ]/ z- W; C' z$ }1 q% p
produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into ' f! L9 g, O. t. u" z
oil wells.

9 F/ I O9 y: v1 F10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy
& L, k: I, c/ s$ S. O: M' Ysource. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US.

( ~# l' d! y' b4 q9 a C8 D4 qEach of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the & F) M* L" @9 _
price of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world - o/ j( \" D! [4 r7 b5 t, [: f
changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability
