5 K1 s- P; Y4 rRecently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few
% o6 I. h! p% X" v( d8 Smonths. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. & a# k1 I# ~' T0 N5 A
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at
2 g' U+ N# n" H/ Q! v/ Yleast $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount.

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face

1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and . }, d! W/ }0 G6 Z: C1 i
in the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than

are now selling their used oil to bio-diesel producers. Every pork,

to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is
! z* o/ M g2 J8 w) kproducing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat.

6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and

are experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio-

J2 A* Y( f1 n8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to c# Z. L. A$ c# q+ Y1 B
capture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas
+ l& L# Y; `/ ^" i/ ?available at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude
" ~% R8 B5 h/ M& T1 e( J$ g( L" [ ioil.

9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2
8 W6 z" g8 `0 f5 P! V1 L& n5 tproduced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into 9 k# h$ w# e% N) i) L" B2 M# J
oil wells.

2 ?; e6 ?. j! l) r6 ?+ d# m+ D" V! `10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy

price of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world 5 W0 B: A! D0 A) V
changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability
