Step1. If possible, stop your car in a safe and visible place. If a car " [7 d I% M* z
cannot be moved, turn on the hazard lights. Turn off the- Y b' p, c: }7 P g* h+ H/ m
ignition. Be careful when exiting your car.0 D' q# r1 n4 {/ b
6 Y- X* o! z: H) A: A dStep2. Determine if anyone is injured. Do not move an injured person.

Step3. Call 911 for the police and ambulance (if needed) immediately.

Step4. If another vehicle is involved, get the car’s year, make, model 7 C, k0 ` O- m7 p5 o

number; and the name of his or her insurance company. If the 9 ~* w! \9 z4 U' c
driver does not own the car, get the name of the car’s owner. ( `# V3 F% p* J8 r& Q6 W
Write down names and addresses of other passengers or 8 e) |4 `9 S/ K8 }& f$ w2 O) T z
witnesses. If you have a camera take pictures of the accident

accident in any way. You may be required to show proof of

Step8. Do not agree to forget about a minor accident. You may see

the site, showing stop signs, signal lights, etc. Try to measure

already on other cars involved. If a camera is available, take 5 y* Z) A. Q4 H- j$ U( w
pictures of the accident.
