Job Description

Full time position (35 hours each week)

9 [% s" r& s- F( l& xJob Description – Responsibilities
' q7 ^8 N* m. I7 b/ I  P& ]•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
" N# I( H+ B2 f$ R  O•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
2 q: i$ ^8 i/ t5 m/ h- n; i•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
: g4 Q  u- r, P1 k' Z•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
! J0 b' F4 W+ l2 ~$ }  Z9 I•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
  F/ j3 W, a& ]& x% P# [! f0 B! q& b•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
' B, H! e* i* H( K•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

Qualifications
•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
6 i+ E, Q9 H) ^1 d) |1 d•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
) `1 L5 F; l4 p& F/ |$ Y•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
$ \: ?" _/ C9 L( r•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
, @" ]' E: Z! v•        willingness to learn
